Historic Achievement for NSW Students, Teachers and Parents

I am very pleased to inform you that the Prime Minister and I

recently announced NSW would be the first Australian State to

agree to the “Gonski” national education reforms.

This is great news for students, teachers and parents. It will

mean more resources and a fairer system – and assist our aim

of higher standards and a better education for our children.

The agreement will deliver an additional $5 billion for NSW

schools as well as continue the NSW Government’s education

reforms, including improving literacy and numeracy, raising

teaching quality and empowering principals and school

communities to make local decisions.

I am proud of this historic reform which could not have been

achieved without the advocacy of students, teachers and

parents across NSW.

Letter from an employer for two CGHS students that attended work placement:

Afternoon Ms Michos,I just wanted to send you a quick email highlighting the great work Marieta Katuke & Shannen Catt-Tonkin have been doing for Xchanging this week (Mon 08/04 to Fri 12/04), both girls have been a great help in being a major assistance within our filing management system. Undertaking this task required data entry skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn a new job / task.

I have found both the girls to have gone above and beyond in all areas of their work experience program here at Xchanging and would be interested at the end of their schooling if the wanted to return to an office environment to give me a call and if anything is available at that time I am recommend them for an interview.

Please pass on my thanks to the both of them as they have done an outstanding job, very much appreciated.

Happy to discuss further if needed
