CPU The CPU central processing unit, this is the most important part of the entire computer system, large machines the cpu needs one or more printed circuit board but on a p.c the cpu is housed in single chip called a microprocessor. The cpu is an internal component they are compact and have many metallic connectors or pins on there underside and located on motherboard.
