Temporary StaffCollege & Career Readiness Program CoordinatorWilmington Affiliate Office
The temporary position will serve in a contractual role as Program Coordinator for the
period beginning October 1, 2013 through June 6, 2014. Services provided during thisperiod will include, but are not be limited to the duties listed below. The attached scope of
work provides additional details concerning expectations of the Contractual StaffMember. In the performance of these duties, the Program Coordinatorwill report to StateOperations Manager and Wilmington Regional Director.
A workday consists of 7 hours with hours not accruing more than 1,000 total hours,
unless approved by Jim Purcell and CISDE. The hourly rate will be $14 an hour, with atotal compensation at the end of the period of no more than $14,000.00.
GENERAL DUTIES: Responsible for overall program management of the assigned CISprogramming for On-Track College & Career Readiness programs. Management of on-
campus learning, college tours, and career readiness program for all CISDE high schools inSussex (1 school), Kent (2 schools), and New Castle (4 schools) Counties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:Student Services
Manage the scheduling and operations for the On-Track program on Delaware
Technical Community College campuses statewide by coordinating with CISE Site
Directors and Del Tech university liaison.
Attend On-Track sessions monthly.
Coordinate, schedule, and plan college tours for Delaware universities and a regional
tour out of state.
Update database to report college and career readiness programs and students
served.
Create career readiness opportunities including class presentations, recruiting career
speakers for class presentations, and identifying internship/apprenticeship/ part-timeemployment opportunities for eligible students.
Work with partners such as Junior Achievement for field trips and career readiness
workshops.
Volunteer Recruitment Successfully recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers to support
operations plan;
Provide overall scheduling and coordination of volunteer/student relations;
Serve as a communication conduit for exchanging information.
Data Collection/Evaluation Ensure that all student forms, case plans and other documents are maintained;

Gather and submit student and family data for individual and programmatic
evaluation utilizing the CIS Data Management System (CISDM);
Provide monthly/quarterly reports at specified times.
Staff Relations Report to Wilmington Regional Director and State Operations Manager;
Work collaboratively with all CIS staff to maintain a positive CIS image;
Provide site plan/work plan goals, expectations and feedback to school and CISDE;
Understand and communicate the CIS mission, five basics and goals.
Attend CISDE and school meetings/trainings, as appropriate.
Relationship to School and Community Provide feedback to school administration, CISDE, and other stakeholders;
Create and distribute newsletters about program accomplishments;
Conduct annual school needs assessment.
Community Networking Present the CIS mission, vision, and initiatives within the community;
Provide networking opportunities for volunteers and community partners;
Secure community resources beneficial to addressing student needs.
Qualifications Bachelors Degree preferred; or demonstrated relevant equivalent experience in
education, social work, or related field
Experience in working with school-age children
Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, and high energy
Must have a valid DE drivers license and automobile insurance
Criminal background check required
