C E L E B R AT I N G 1 1 Y E A R S !

For me personally, it’s more like 25 years of ministry! These last 11 years have been the most adventurous and in many ways, most fulfilling part of this work but this last year would appear to be the most impactful of all the work we have done.

My sincere thanks to my family, my wife Ajuma Madojemu and two sons, Adam & Edward Madojemu whose unconditional support has been an anchor that has kept me steady even in the best and worst of times. I am really grateful to God for giving you to me!

To the people who have stood with me in this ministry through blood, sweat and tears, thank you so much. To my assistant Pastors Bunmi Smith and Olumide Olalekan and the team of ministers and leaders without whom we would not be here today, please accept my simple thanks but I know the rewards from God for your sacrifices would be unprecedented.

Where and to whom do I start to say thanks? ..... From Kunle Akinwale to Kunle Omisore, Yemi...., Tunde.., Jide..., Ranti....., Funmi.., Adeola.., Bola...., Collins..., Samuel..., James..., Seun.... and others too long to list here - I trust you understand.

I must acknowledge as well, this year’s anniversay Commitee made up of Chairmen of the last ten years - Pastor Olubunmi Smith, Pastor Biola Oladiran, Mr. Pacqueens Irabor, Pastor (Mrs) Lola Oladele-Ojo, Miss Glory Omoregie, Mr. Evongwa Manasseh and Pastor Olumide Olalekan before I forget again Mr Victor Emmanuel

Thanks go out also to our units, workers and congregation members who have stepped out of their comfort zones to build this ministry that “thinks different” and have embraced God’s word and unusual call and to my staff both in church and at NuStreams, whose behind the scenes work makes running this look easy to anyone without the knowledge or experience. I say a big thank you and God bless.

It’s not just been those who are physically present with us who have been a blessing in more ways than one. I would like to thank also, Gbenga Adenuga whose support and generosity have revived our sound and media ministry to a global standard and Pastor Biodun Makinde and others like him who continue to have our best interest at heart.

To our guest ministers this year who have been my friends and mentors in many areas of life, I am indebted and it’s an honor this year to host Pastor Ghandi Olaoye who from the very first day I started working with him at Jesus Embassy in 1995, propelled me into ministry and provided unprecedented support to my life and ministry.

My brothers and friends Austin Ologbese, Gbade Ogunlana, and Tunde Amosun, it’s more than ministry now - we are family and I am grateful to have you in my life and the life of this church. We trust God to bless you and continue to make you a blessing. Thank you!

It’s been a remarkable journey and I dare say we have only just begun to put our toes into realizing the mission of the Kingdom of God we have been called into. To me, the cobwebs have just began to clear away and now I begin to see God’s glorious light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s dark out there but thank God He said in Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

This year’s theme is not just for our church but for the Church and the Nation and if there ever was a time to “Wake Up The Mighty Men” it would be now.

The challenges we face today in the nation as well as our lives and businesses are so similar to the circumstances that David and His mighty men had to evolve and grow from under his captaincy.

1 S A M U E L 2 2 : 1 - 2

David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

1 S A M U E L 2 2 : 1 - 2

And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.

These same men are listed further in the Bible doing exceptional deeds. What a great transformation!

In a few years time, David's men went from being discontented, depressed, distressed and indebted to being honored as mighty men.

They overcame the limits of their circumstances and became triumphant and honored men in the service of King David.

This passage of the Bible depicts David's men not as weak men with limiting problems but as mighty men.

““As South Africa moves into deeper and more troubled waters, God’s purpose in raising up the mighty men is

becoming clearer. They are called to strengthen themselves to make Jesus, the Son of David, king in this nation. It requires

the mighty men to unite before Jesus can be enthroned. They must form the spiritual foundation, the safety net, which will carry the nation through the turbulent times ahead as wave upon wave will crush upon the nation, upon rich and poor, upon black and white alike, with firm intent to maim and

destroy.”.”

“Beyond denominations...beyond traditions and methodologies...we are men who are meant to be Kings. And we very much desire it to happen in our lifetime. This shall be the legacy we leave for our sons after us...that we are MIGHTY MEN!!!!.”

When we examined the meaning of this, we discovered that High Noon refers to a 1952 cowboy film.

In the movie the marshal of a small town is abandoned by all the town’s men to face a returning outlaw and his henchmen alone. It was the same marshal who liberated the town from this outlaw’s destructive hold years earlier.

A S P I R I T U A L H I G H N O O N F O R S O U T H A F R I C A

Yet none of the men, including the churchgoers, would stand with the marshal to defend the town against certain oppression even though they enjoyed the benefits of liberty for so many years.

They would rather compromise with the outlaw and submit to his evil intent than fight.

Facing this urgent challenge, the call to South Africa’s mighty men is to join the spiritual battle, to “rule in the midst of Your enemies” as Ps 110, a prophetic call for exactly this time, promises.

When Christ is enthroned in a nation, every knee must bow to Him – spiritual and worldly authorities – whether they acknowledge Him or not.

This will require Christ’s brothers, the mighty men, to go to the cross for their families, communities and their country.

“When David Livingstone, the missionary pioneer, was working in Africa, some friends wrote: “We would like to send other men to you. Have you found a good road into your area yet?” Livingstone wrote back: “If you have men who will only come if they know there is a good road, I don’t want them. I want men who will come if there is no road at all.” (In Reader’s Digest [8/89], p. 143.)...

......If God is going to accomplish a great work among us, then He wants to raise up a band of mighty men in our midst who can do great exploits for God. In saying “mighty men,” I am not excluding mighty women, but I am emphasizing the need for strong men of faith.

While the Bible teaches the equality of the sexes in personhood and in standing before God, it also teaches that God has ordained different roles for the sexes (1 Cor. 11:3; 1 Tim. 2:8-15). The New Testament makes it clear that God desires men to be in spiritual leadership in the home and church.

It’s time for us to be who he ordained us to be after all these years of going to and being in church. It’s time we become the called out ones which is fundamentally the meaning of the word “ekklesia” - the Church. Stephen Court in his foreword to Steve Simms book, Beyond Church The Lost Word of the Bible titled Monumental Change says:

What would happen if we burst out of the conventional church paradigm? What would happen if we decided to live our lives, fight our salvation warfare, serve our King of Kings within a revolutionary paradigm, one unbounded by cultural accretions to the Gospel, one unmoored from human expectations and limitations? Monumental positive change.

We cannot expect monumental change in our personal lives while those lives and those changes are sought and wrought within the conventional paradigm. The most significant spiritual transformations are revolutionary in nature. Our conversion is described as being born again.

Our entire sanctification –the Holy Spirit filling us –is just as spiritually cataclysmic. Neither can we expect monumental change corporately within the conventional church paradigm. If we escape the conventional paradigm, if we enter the revolutionary paradigm together, we can believe for and experience metamorphic corporate change.

How will it look?

Answer: A lot different than you might expect. But Steve Simms isn’t just making this stuff up. Paul did in 1 Corinthians 14: 26-33: So how does it look, then, comrades?

1 C O R I N T H I A N S 1 4 : 2 6 - 3 3

When you gather, each contributes your part –a song, a lesson, a dialect, a disclosure, an explanation – and everything should be constructive. If you speak in dialects, do it one at a time, three at most, along with a thorough explanation.

1 C O R I N T H I A N S 1 4 : 2 6 - 3 3

If there is no one among ‘the called out’ to explain, silently communicate with God. Two or three can prophesy, and the others can weigh what they hear. If someone in the crowd receives disclosure then the first one should wrap it up.

1 C O R I N T H I A N S 1 4 : 2 6 - 3 3

Everyone dynamically prophesies, one at a time, and everyone gets discipled and exhorted. Prophets can control their breath, can wait for the right moment. God is not anarchy; He’s prosperity. All ‘the called out’, all ‘the sanctified’ can testify.

Compared to the preaching-industrial complex of modern western Christianity typified by 90 minutes of announcements \ worship \ Scripture \ preaching on a Sunday morning, we’re talking about revolution. We’re exhorting you to leave the conventional paradigm for the revolutionary paradigm.

We’re inviting you to trade the incremental for the monumental. We’re introducing you to ekklesia. |-Stephen Court Toronto, 2015

Even this is but a tip of the iceberg when we look at the real assignment of the church and I have believed and said for as long as I remember, “The Church is the only organisation that exists for the benefit of those who are not its members. It’s a kingdom agenda not a christian agenda that God wants.

In "Designed to Lead: The Church and Leadership Development" by Eric Geiger, Kevin Peck "If we believe , as William Temple stated, “The Church is the only society that exists for the benefit of those who are not its members,” then all of humanity benefits from the leaders created and formed in the Church.

No organization carries such a holy mandate, thus the leaders developed in the Church and by the Church are leaders who are developed for the world. They are developed “in the center” and sent out to the world. The world is impacted and improved by the leaders the Church develops and deploys."

To me leadership here is not Church Leadership but leadership in our spheres of influence and in the mind molders of society. 7 Strategic Mountains of Cultural influenced Arts Entertainment & Sports, Business, Government, Education Religion, Media, & the Family.

In "Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle" by Dan Senor, Saul Singer my favorite quote is "A reform happens when you change the policy of the government; a revolution happens when you change the mind-set of a country."

L A N D S C O P E C A L L S T H I S “ O U R C A L L T O G O V E R N A N C E ”

"As God’s people we are called into civil governance for the Glory of God and the good of the people. Our goal is not to perfect the world or nation, but to offer God’s perspective, a better way, and allow society a choice. We are not the Jews in the Promised Land; we are God’s people in Babylon. God’s people. surrounded by nations in darkness, offering “salt and light.”

We have influence, but we are not in control. We are not defending God’s Kingdom; His Kingdom is already established. We are not here to “bring back the King,” the King is already coming. We are ambassadors of Light, helping to dispel darkness. We are “salt” preserving and changing the flavor of our communities’ choices. We are “salt” that can bring healing.

We are an alternative choice to the lies of the “lawless one.” And we are preparing to deliver God’s justice beyond the borders of this world and time. As citizens, peacekeepers and governors of a nation our objective is to “win” our nations to the highest level of justice they will accept.

Having been loved into the Kingdom of God ourselves, do not think that we will beat the lost into understanding God’s values of political justice. We must win them over to God’s thinking by revealing His superior blessing in our lives and through our defense of His laws and values. To what end do we pursue this passion of the Kingdom? That all may see the Glory of the Lord, that some might be saved and all be blessed."

The bottom line for this new year for us as a church would be the Kingdom & the Call and this theme would include our children and teens - in establishing and sharing the kingdom.

Kingdom life is like 3rd alternative thinking, health instead of healing or blessing instead of being blessed.

We must not take lightly the role God has called us to play in advancing His kingdom.

I find it pretty amazing that the Lord has a specific call and purpose for all of His children, don’t you? “For you are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that you should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).

Our 2018 Midweek Services would focus on Growing Up Spiritually & How to be Led by The Spirit of God based on the inspired teachings of Kenneth E Hagin which will be used as a guide to help us learn how to follow the leading of the Spirit of God.

Finally our focus at the Real Success Seminars in 2018 will continue to be on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. What I found interesting about reviewing the 7 habits last year was that much of what we are doing at The Bridge Network and our core values can be found within the principles of the 7 habits.

Therefore, they would form the core values for our Children and Teens, Businesses, Marriages, Men & Womens Groups and the Church Culture at large.

This would involve 8 months of teaching with each month focused on living the 7 habits in business and then living the 7 habits at Home, living the 7 habits with family and children and living the 7 habits in your life. Children and teens would do the same and present to the church from time to time, lessons learned.

All these are strategies to help us like Pastor Sunday Adelaja teaches, When we concentrate on building the local church, we might be successful but we won't impact our world or country. They won't transform a land! A nation can only be transformed through the kingdom message. It's takes the gospel of the kingdom to subdue a land

Once again we are inviting you to trade the incremental for the monumental. We’re introducing you to ekklesia just the way God planned it to be!

God bless you.
