    Avon has heard us...and they have a plan!

    I got some really great

    news at Conference!

    Not only has Avon

    heard us, they have a

    plan in place to make

    things so much better

    for us!

    Eduardo Ribeiro (VP

    US Direct Selling)

    shared with us some

    great things that

    AVON has in the

    works to help us! One

    of the things Im most

    excited about is they

    are working to increase

    the order fill rate

    which means fewer

    backorders for us!

    Can we all say YAY!?!

    They are also working

    to make our

    invoices

    easier to

    read and

    will soon

    have what they call

    intelligent ordering

    format that will tell us

    how close we are to the

    next earnings level be-

    fore we submit our

    orders. This means

    that youll be able to

    know what your award

    sales for the order will

    be BEFORE you click

    the submit button!

    They are also going to

    reduce the number of

    extra flyers and make

    the main brochure lar-

    ger and

    more fun

    to shop!

    This will

    encourage

    our customers to

    buy from us!

    Avon also has new

    lines that they will be

    introducing in the

    coming yearone of

    them is specifically

    geared toward new

    mothers and their

    babies!

    Avon is also working

    on a program to con-nect stranded custom-

    ers (those customers

    who have lost their

    Representative) to a

    Suse Ormons Advice at ConferenceDuring the

    Conference in

    Vegas, we had

    the opportunity

    to gain some

    advice from

    Suze Ormon...and even

    ask her some questions.

    She told us the good

    news was that retail sales

    are up 7%, which means

    people are

    spending

    again! She

    also said

    that since

    gas prices

    are up, people will want

    to purchase from us be-

    cause of the delivery ser-

    vice we offer them! Our

    customers can spend the

    money theyre in the

    mood to spend without

    the added expense of

    spending gas money!

    She encouraged us to

    take advantage of whats

    happening now. Stop

    thinking we have to

    sell...start thinking, in-

    stead, that we have items

    others wantto buy!

    employment is also up and this

    has a double opportunity for us!

    ployed people need a job (and

    we have a great opportunity to

    offer them), but they are also

    used to buy their beauty prod-

    ucts at the mall, theyll be look-ing for comparable quality at a

    more affordable cost...exactly

    what Avon has to offer! You

    can promote that to your cus-

    tomers and potential recruits!

    Suze told us about a new book

    she has written

    that will be sold

    exclusivelyin the

    Avon brochure!

    She said this book

    includes some of

    her best snippets of

    financial advice.

    All of the proceeds

    from this bookthat Suze would ordinarily receive

    will be donated to the Avon Foun-

    dation!

    Suze also revealed a Money Make-

    over contest exclusively for Avon

    Representatives where one lucky

    winner will get $25,000! If

    you win, Suze will come to

    your home and help you

    decide how to spend the

    money. There will also be

    additional prizes of $10,000

    each, which includes a trip

    to New York to meet with

    Suze Ormon. Details of

    this contest will be on

    youravon.com.

    During the Q&A session, Suze

    reminded us that the main inter-

    nal obstacle to wealth is fear...and

    the only way to conquer fear is

    action! What action can you take

    today to protect your tomorrow?

    As I type this segment of the

    newsletter, Im on my flight

    home from the Leadership

    Conference in Las Vegasand

    am I ever excited to share

    with you all the information I

    learned! I am super-charged

    and ready to take my business

    to the next level...how about

    you? I want you to join me onthe ride! Its going to be

    amazing! While at Conference, I had

    the opportunity to not only

    rub elbows with some of

    Avons Rich & Famous,

    but to also gleen from

    their knowledge and ex-

    perience! Did you realize

    there are some Avon Reps

    in the US who are making

    more than $4 million? I

    had no idea until I at-

    tended Conferenceone

    couple makes over $9 mil-lion! Now, thats a nice

    living, dont you think?

    All of the articles in this

    newsletter are from what I

    earned at Conference

    new products, new

    lines, and of course, tips

    to grow your business!

    Next year, Id love to

    have my whole team

    attend Conference with

    meso start saving your

    pennies, dimes, and

    nickels now! I can tell

    you from personal ex-

    perience, you wont re-

    gret it at all! Lets make

    it a goal to make this

    year the best one yet for

    our team! Ill do my

    My family on my sons

    first day ofKindergarten

    new representative who

    wants to service them. They

    will pilot the program this

    fall with Maryann Penn, a

    Senior Executive Unit

    Leader who has been with

    Avon for many years. Oncethey have all the bugs

    worked out, they will open

    the program to the rest of us.

    They plan to do this by

    2011. In order to participate

    in this program, you need to

    be placing consistent orders

    of $100 or more each cam-

    paign. The reason for this is

    so that the customer will feelconfident that their new

    Representative will be

    around when they want to

    place that order! If you want

    to participate in this pro-

    gram and your sales arent

    quite to $100 per campaign

    yet, I would love

    to meet with you

    to help you make

    a plan to increase

    your sales!

    Avon is also go-

    ing to make theincentives sim-

    pler for us. They will all be You

    Do, You Get type of incentives

    and they are working to make the

    requirements easy to understand.

    So, if you achieve the require-

    ments, youll earn the incentive!

    They are also moving toward

    growing the beauty line, which is

    where our repeat sales come from

    and how we make the most

    money. The non-beauty items

    will be items to enhance & drive

    beauty sales! The hair pieces that

    are offered in Campaign 10 are

    an example of whats to come!

    They will also be

    targeting some spe-

    cific customer mar-

    kets, such as His-

    panics, African-

    Americans, and

    Middle Income Sub-urban Moms.

    With all that AVON is doing to

    help us, we have the opportunity

    to increase our earnings by up to

    6 times what it is now! Who

    wouldnt like to do that?

    We are in control of our destiny!

    As David McConnell (founder

    of AVON) said, All success lives

    within ones self and not exter-

    nal conditions. You have the

    opportunity and ability to suc-

    ceed with your Avon business!

    Spring into Success with these tips:

    At the training session Take Control

    of Your Business, Elizabeth Bales-

    tracci, EUL (Executive Unit Leader)

    gave us some great tips on leadership

    that I will share at the next team meet-ing. I found the following tips on her

    AVON blog:

    #1: Buy 50 more brochures than

    you did last campaign and actually

    HAND them to people you meet in

    the stores, schools, work, parks,

    movies, bagel stores, delis,

    gym...WHEREVER YOU GO for

    TWO WEEKS...and watch what

    happens! Be sure to include the

    AVON OPPORTUNITY informa-tion in there in case you find some-

    one that is interested in selling

    AVON like you.

    #2: Have an AVON PARTY or

    GRAND OPENING (if you are a

    new rep) as soon as possible...either

    at your home or the home of a good

    customer. Social Selling is key to

    time efficiency since you can make

    your product and business presenta-

    tion to at least 10 people at one time.

    #3: Check your local papers or the

    internet for upcoming vendor fairs.

    Many bendor fairs offer table space

    for $25 or sometimes you can make a

    donation to their raffle table instead

    of paying a fee. If you cant afford to

    be in many vendor fairs, GO to the

    vendor fair with 20 brochures and

    samples and offer them to everyonewho walks by.

    #4: GO OUTSIDE as soon as the

    weather breaks...because thats where

    everyone else will be! We all need

    some sunshine, so get some while

    you work on your business by walk-

    ing the beach, walking through a

    park, down your block, etc. If its

    raining, walk the mall. Bring 20 bro-

    chures and samples with you every

    time!

    #5: Have a Yard or Garage Sale and

    ADVERTISE it in your local paper.

    Have all your AVON set up at the

    check-out table near the

    street...and all your yard sale stuff at

    the top of the driveway. I have bag

    sales where I offer yard sale custom-

    ers a white kitchen bag and say they

    can fill it for $5...when they come to

    check out and pay, I tell them I aman AVON Rep and offer them to

    shop whatever stock I may have (at

    retail prices). Then, I offer them a

    brochure and to join my mailing list.
