Purpose

This field trip ties in with character education and helps students learn the value of working as a team all while building their confidence through the planned activities.

Shady Brook is an overnight activity September 22-23, 2014.

We will need lots of volunteers to act as chaperones!

Cost

$57.00 for students

$30.00 for all chaperones,

Includes a basic meal plan for breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided by the staff at Shady Brook.

This price does not include the bus fare, that price will be determined at a later date once we have the final number for the students and parents who will be participating.

payment options: #1 – you can pay full price before May 12, 2014. OR

#2 – you can pay half now

$28.50 for student before May 12, 2014

$15.00 for chaperone before May 12, 2014

other half in August when we return from summer break (due date TBD).

YMCA Camp Shady Brook is located 70 minutes northwest of Colorado Springs and 90 minutes southwest of Denver at 8716 South Y Camp Rd, Deckers CO 80135.

All cabins are cozy bunkhouse style with bunk beds

4 lodges with adjoining restroom/shower

facilities and covered deck

12 rustic cabins; 6-14 beds

Participants provide their own bedding.

A camp favorite, archery builds self-confidence as students learn technique and safety procedures while aiming for a bulls eye at our target sports range.
