An ecosystem is a community of plants, animals and smaller organisms that live, feed, reproduce and interact in the same area or environment. Even your backyard is full of life and living and nonliving organisms. So your own backyard is its own little ecosystem in a very large world that is filled with many ecosystems.

Most people don't know a lot about the honeybees importance as master pollinator. The majority of flowering plants need animals to pollinate them, and the honeybee is perfectly engineered to perform this task. The honeybee has a body designed to trap pollen and work greatly to make sure that no petal is left unturned. Without the honeybee, the color of the planet would be lost.

The food chain would be affected if the honeybee population decline keeps on going, many animals would have to find new food.

Honeybees pollinate about 90% of the crops in North America. They help create about 1/3 of the food we eat.

The honeybee is a keystone animal, keystone species make sure an ecosystem has many types of life.If the bees went extinct so would 70% of plants in the world.

Honeybees are native bees and are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat.

Something horrible has happened bees have been disappearing. If we don’t

find a solution before they go extinct we are

potentially doomed

“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe,

then man would only have four years of life left.”

-Albert Einstein

But was later proved wrong because this prediction varies with population.

We need bees to pollinate flowers for food production. Without it crops and plants will not become fertilized and bear fruit. Some of those fruits and veggies that count on pollination will die off.

As well as making honey, honey bees pollinate countless hectares of agricultural crops. It’s estimated that a third of the food you eat could be attributed to pollination by bees.As bees pollinate plants they also pollinate nuts, and most of our main foods.

Bees cannot survive without the flowers and the flowers' existence depends on the bees.

The bees nectar is a source of energy, also an important source of fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
