Specific course entry requirements

To study a Level 2 programme you will have achieved a minimum of three grade 3s in your GCSEs, in addition to a grade 3 in English Language (please refer to the Entry Requirements section of the SJR prospectus for further details).

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through coursework which is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. There are two examinations for ICT.

Examination one: The On-line World; the focus of this exam is the internet and networking. Examination Two: Technology Systems; the focus for this exam is how computers work using binary and hardware components.

Where will this course lead me?

This course will provide you with the opportunity for further progression to a suitable course in ICT at Level 3.

Studying ICT will also provide you with excellent skills and knowledge to help you gain employment.

Progression to Level 3 courses at college is dependent upon meeting the entry requirements for that course.
