Website Design The design is modern and reflects the business or product Each page has an appropriate call-to-action to generate leads Displays appropriately and looks good on smaller screen sizes such as mobile phones and

    tablets Looks good on all browsers (Free resource: http://browserlab.adobe.com) Page structure can be navigated easily The address and contact information is listed clearly in the footer

    Maintenance and Updates Website is backed up regularly (daily/weekly/monthly) Domain information up to date, and is registered for 3 or more years (go to http://whois.com to

    find out what info is on file and an expiration date) Website is in good working order:

    Load time is 1-2 seconds maximum. If its longer, look for large files and make them smaller.

    Check for broken links so customers arent missing important information (Free resource: http://validator.w3.org/checklink).

    Test your contact forms thoroughly to make sure you arent losing business. Check your Content - The content is up to date and has the correct information. Things to look

    at: Services and products, including pricing Staff and company information Contact info including phone, address, and email Copyright date Internet Marketing

    When was the last time your site got a marketing tune up? Go to www.alexa.com and see how your site is doing. You can even compare it with your competitors :)

    Check your search engine rankings...are you showing up for your target keywords? Compare your Google Analytics reports from last year, or install Analytics if you dont have it

    already (Free resource: www.google.com/analytics)

    Optimize your site with good, keyword rich content Do you have social media buttons on your site? How about share buttons? Suggestions Make sure everything works perfectly! Google will downgrade your site if its not functioning

    properly.

  • Add something new. Google likes fresh, changing websites that are growing Add a blog Start a newsletter or news section Write a press release Freshen up your list of services/products Add a new feature or two Expand on what you already have, either by re-writing or adding to your current

    Implement even the simplest Internet marketing plan Look at your traffic monthly (at a minimum) Keyword optimize a new page at least every month Submit your website to online directories each month Write at least one blog per month Update your social media profiles regularly with quality content that links back to
