July Term 3 Week 1

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Term 3. I hope everyone has had a wonderful break.

Term 3, like the past two, is shaping up to be another busy one. Our School Concert will be held on

Thursday 2nd

August at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre commencing at 6.30p.m. and our Book

Parade which will be held on Thursday 23rd

August are sure to be highlights. Please mark these dates in

your diary.

All children have been given out notes outlining what they will be learning this term in class and what they

need to bring to school to help them complete their work each day. If you did not receive a note, please

contact the front office at school.

The staff will be conducting parent teacher interviews either by phone or face to face this term. This is a

wonderful opportunity for parents to spend some time talking to your child’s teacher about how your child

is progressing and any issues that you may have about their learning. Interviews will occur at a mutually

convenient throughout the term. Interview/Communication notes were on the stage newsletters sent home

earlier in the week. I have also attached some to the end of this Newsletter. These should be filled in and

returned to your child’s classroom teacher so times and dates can be organised.

Public School this term. Matthew Gibson is working with Mrs

Goninan and 2G, Kelly Thompson is working with Mr Given

and 5/6G and Keiran Parish is working with Ms Simmons and

BATHURST PUBLIC SCHOOL P AND C NEWS...

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome back to term 3 – what a busy term it will be!

We had a fabulous meeting last night, and there certainly is a feeling that we are making great progress

this year.

One of the reoccurring themes I am noticing throughout our meetings is that as a P and C, we are really

striving to become a parental support. Yes, one of our main objectives as a P and C is to raise funds for

the School, but more than that we also want to create a sense of Community for our parents and families.

We have a few exciting projects in the works that we will communicate about throughout the term, and

we are very excited about becoming a more visible group within the School community.

A few key events we are looking forward to this term are:

The Father’s day Stall – as usual, we will be looking for donations, wrappers and sellers. Please

see coming newsletters for further information

Father’s day BBQ Breakfast – to celebrate Father’s day, we would like to put on a BBQ

breakfast for our dads to enjoy with their children. This will be a before school event and pops,

granddads, uncles and even mums are invited! Stay tuned for further details

The Book Fair – a fabulous event that the children really enjoy. Once again we will be looking

for anyone who can help for an hour or two to help the children make their purchases

Cake and Coffee Stall at the September Elections – we will be putting on a morning tea for

voters to raise funds that will help to buy some much needed resources for our School. We will be

looking for donations of cakes or slices. Please see coming newsletters for details.

On behalf of the P and C we would like to send a hearty ‘Thank you’ to

Lionel for all of his hard work to get our new canteen windows fitted. It is

very much appreciated!

The minutes from last night’s meeting will be available next week on the School website.
