Sales Planning

1 PurposeIn the SAP Best Practices for Business Planning and Consolidation documentation DVD, inputschedules and reports are delivered, which you can use to enter and review plan data for the year2012.This Business Process Procedure document describes where to find the input schedules and reportsand how to save and review the plan data in the system.

2 Prerequisites

2.1 Business ConditionsThe business process described in this Business Process Documentation is part of a bigger chain ofintegrated business processes or scenarios. As a consequence, you must have completed thefollowing processes and fulfilled the following business conditions before you can start going throughthis scenario:

2.2 IE Configuration - Logging on Interface for WebBefore Log on interface for web, please make following setting and make sure there is a pop-upwindow to ask you enter user name and password.

1. Open Windowns internet Explorer Brower. 2. Choose Tool Internet Options.

3. Choose Security tab .

4. Make setting as screenshot in both Local intranet and Trusted sites zone:

5. Choose OK and exit.

2.3 Logging on SAP BPC system1. Choose the proper link ( for example http://vmw4594:1080/OSoft/

2. Make the following entries in the pop up window

4. On the SAP BusinessObjects- Launch Page, choose Interface for the web.

5. If dialog for AppSet selection pops up, choose AppSet SAP_BP_Planning, choose OK. Chooseapplication RATE .

6. Choose Business Process Flows.

7. On the Business Process Flows screen, choose the business process flow named SalesPlanning.

8. Steps assigned to this user are listed in lower part of the page.

9. Choose the step to find the sub-step list. The detailed explanation is included in part 4.

1. Open Windowns internet Explorer Brower.

2. Choose Tool Internet Options.

5. In Tabbed Browsing Settings tab, make setting as screenshot:

6. Choose OK and exit.

2.5 Switch User Log on SAP BPC systemWhen you switch the user to log on BPC system, please make sure all the BPC relevant screens areclosed.

8. The Input Schedule for Sales Planning opens in BPC for Excel.

9. Make sure that the current view is set correctly as indicated in the table below:

10. You can load the actual data from last year, then make adjustment base on it. To do so, chooseRef. from Last Year . Actual data from last year copied to current input schedule.

11. Enter the sales planning data, for example, sales unit prices, sales quantities, and so on. Basedon the actual data from last year. Sales revenue, product cost, gross profit are calculatedautomatically.

If you want to change Sales Region, you can choose Change to make other data

combination. And also, transaction currency (USD or EUR) is adjusted based on theRegion Cusotmer you have selected...

12. Choose Send Data .

13. In the Send Options area of the action pane, choose active worksheet .

14. Choose Refresh .

15. In the xxx records will be sent … dialog box, choose Yes .

16. On the Refresh schedule results , check that there are no rejected records and choose Close .

17. Choose Back to BPF .

18. Repeat step 1 to 16 for the sales planning of Sales Team 2 by accessing the system with userplanner_S2.

ResultSales planning data has been set for sales team 1 and sales team 2..

4.2.2 Confirming Sales Planning Data

UseBudget planner for every sales team review and confirm the sales planning details.

Procedure1. From the list, choose Review Sales Planning Data.

2. If you’re prompted to log on to the system provide the appropriate user -ID and password andchoose Finish .

3. The Report for Sales Planning opens in BPC for Excel.

4. Make sure that the current view is set correctly as indicated in the table below:

5. Review the sales planning details for different Region customers which are covered by the salesteam.

6. Choose Back to BPF

7. Repeat step 1-7 for the budget planner of sales team 2 to review the sales planning data.

ResultThe report has been confirmed by sales team planner.

4.2.3 Submitting Sales Planning Data

Use After sales team planner reviews and confirms the sales planning data, the report is sent to thecorresponding sales team manager for approval.

Procedure1. From the list, choose Submit Sales Planning Data.

2. In Work Status Options – Step 1 of 2 on the right side, choose Another CV radio button andmake sure Active view as below:

3. Choose the green arrow to go to the next step.4. In Work Status Options – Step 2 of 2 on the right side, choose Submitted from the drill-down list

in the New work status setting field.

8. Choose Back to My Activities .

9. Repeat step 1-9 for the budget planner of sales team 2 to submit the data.

ResultThe planner from sales team has finished planning activities, and submitted data for sales teammanagers ’ approval.

Sales team manager needs to review the sales planning data via the relevant report.

Procedure1. According to 2.3, sales team manager (for example: Mgr_S1) log on to SAP BPC for web.

2. In the Action Pane , choose the Application set SAP_BP_Planning and the applicationSales_Planning .

3. From the list, choose Review and Approve.

4. Choose Confirm Sales Planning Data.

5. If you’re prompted to log on to the system provide the appropriate user -ID and password andchoose Finish .

6. The Report for Sales Planning opens in BPC for Excel.

7. Make sure that the current view is set correctly as indicated in the table below:

9. Choose Back to BPF .

UseSales manager needs to approve the sales planning data after reviewing.

Procedure1. From the list, choose Approve Sales Planning.

2. In Work Status Options – Step 1 of 2 on the right side, choose The Other CV radio button andmake active view as below:
