O Who will keep it up to date & in working condition. Technology Coordinator replaces CPUs every 5 years.

Description of Lesson O Topic: Creating Radio Talk Show Using Audacity about
pros and cons of technology.O Technology Used: Computer, Audacity Program,
Microphone, Headphones, Internet O # of Students: 26O Activities Included: Writing a script in Word and using
the Audacity Program to record, edit, import, change the format from AUP to MP3.
O Include Problem solving strategies: Groups must assign what rolls each student will play as they create a 5 min. podcast on the topic of the pros and cons of technology.
O Assessments: Used survey monkey for pre and post test.

O List its capabilities-Records, edits, imports music, exports to MP3
O List its limitations-You need headphones, microphone, some space to spread out, and no video capabilities.

O Have student’s select roles that they would excel at. Example: Speaking, Non-Speaking, Editing, Music, and writing the script.

O Student’s are blocked from inappropriate web-sites and restricted to download.
O We teach our kids to site any source that they use from the internet.

O This lesson meets the technology standards and meets our middle school technology curriculum.
