NIT-TRICHY OVERVIEW

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli (NITT), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli (RECT) is one of the finest universities started by the Government of India. RECT was started in the academic year 1964-65 and has been imparting quality education ever since. In 2003, the institution was granted Deemed to be University status with the approval of UGC/AICTE. With the cream of engineering and management talent, encompassing both students and faculty, coupled with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities, NITT today stands out as one amidst the elite institutions in the country.

The Department of Management Studies (DoMS), NITT since its inception in the year 1978 has served as a management hub for aspiring students and is being recognized as one of the finest business schools in the country. Through continuous commitment and perseverance towards management education and innovation, the department has come up with a program that has earned a remarkable reputation over the years. DoMS not only teaches the arts and science of management but also instills in its students virtues and skills needed to make a difference in tomorrow’s

In this technology driven society the student are loaded with lots of information. Teaching to student community with sound exposure to information is throwing a fresh challenge before the teachers in recent era. This programme addresses the challenge and throws light on exceptional teaching through pedagogical tools and techniques. The programme brings a wider understanding of applying pedagogical techniques in teaching. The programme format will foster vigorous discussion and offer informal opportunities to share ideas and network with the participants and professors who are passionate about effective and excellent teaching. Registration fee is to be paid by a DD drawn in favour of "The Director, National Institute of Technology", payable at SBI, NIT Tiruchirapalli. Accommodation for the participants will be arranged in the institute guest house at a nominal fee for the outstation participants. Normally it will be a twin shared accommodation. Room rent per day/per individual Rs-150/
