GLORIA Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

THE NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. Coro de Niños Queremos invitar a todos los niños a ser parte de un coro para las Misas de domingo de 8am. El único requisito es que los niños sepan leer para formar parte del coro. Los ensayos comenzarán el Viernes 18 de Octubre a las 7pm en la iglesia. Padres de familia, animen a sus hijos y comuníquense con Jose Antonio, director del coro en español o con la oficina parroquial.


Lord, increase our faith

W hen I was little, they told me that

faith is “to believe what is not seen.”

if so, how could the apostles

speak of faith? How could

they ask Jesus to “increase

their faith”? They could see

it, it was in front of them.

They did not need faith to

believe that Jesus was Jesus.

In addition, they saw him

perform miracles, heard his

words. Could it be that they

did not need faith?

Reality is very different.

Faith is precisely “believing

what is not seen.” And the apostles did not see but

beyond a man who did extraordinary things, some

of which they were not able to understand. Faith

invited them to go further, to experience the

presence of God in that man.

It is true that they believing without seeing is a

challenge, especially for contemporary man.

However, what we are asked in our religion is to

learn to trust a good, omnipotent god, who always

seeks the best for us. A father and mother who

truly love their children would never dare to give

them or do something that was not good for them.

In the same way we as Christians, we abandon

ourselves in the hands of God, trusting that as the

good father whom he always is will lead us on the

safe path, and that he will accompany us even in

the most dif!icult times of our lives.

May the Lord bless you and increase our faith.

Señor, auméntanos la fe

C uando era pequeno, me dijeron que fe es

“creer lo que no se ve”. Entonces, ¿como

podıan hablar los apostoles

de fe? ¿Como podıan pedir a

Jesus que les “aumentase la

fe”? Ellos ya lo veıan, lo

tenıan delante. No

necesitaban la fe para creer

que Jesus era Jesus.

Ademas, le veıan hacer

milagros, escuchaban sus

palabras. ¿Serıa que no

necesitaban la fe?

La realidad es muy

diferente. La fe es

precisamente “creer lo que no se ve”. Y los

apostoles no veıan mas alla de un hombre que

hacıa cosas extraordinarias, algunas de las cuales

no eran capaces de entender. Le fe les invitaba a ir

mas alla, a experimentar la presencia de Dios en

aquel hombre.

Es verdad que creen sin haber visto es un reto,

especialmente para el hombre contemporaneo.

Sin embargo, lo que se nos pide en nuestra

religion es aprender a con!iar en un dios bueno,

omnipotente, que siempre busca lo mejor para

nosotros. Un padre y una madre que

verdaderamente aman a sus hijos nunca se

atreverıan a darle o hacerle algo que no fuera para

su bien. De la misma manera nosotros como

cristianos, nos abandonamos en las manos de

Dios, con!iando que como padre bueno que es

siempre nos llevara por el camino seguro, y que

nos acompanara aun en lo mas difıcil de nuestras

vidas.

Que el senor te bendiga y aumente nuestra fe.

Retiro Espiritual Para Hombres

El Grupo de Hombres de la parroquia San Antonio, invita a todos los hombres interesados a su próximo retiro espiritual que se llevará acabo los días 11, 12 y 13 de Octubre en Camp Vista, WI. Requisitos para participar:

¨ Ser mayores de 18 años. ¨ No haber vivido un retiro antes. ¨ Querer pasar un fin de semana inolvidable en meditación y oración en compañía de Jesucristo. Los hombres interesados en participar necesitan:

¨ Llevar ropa cómoda para dos días. ¨ Llevar cobija, almohada y accesorios personales (cepillo de dientes, etc.) La salida será el viernes 11 de Octubre a las 6:30pm frente a la iglesia, y el regreso será el domingo 13 de Octubre a las 5pm para terminar con la Hora Santa en la iglesia. Después de las misas del domingo, se estarán registrando a hombres interesados en ir al retiro, o también puede acudir a la oficina parroquial durante la semana.
