The Faculty of Engineering was established in 2006 as a result of a the merger between Odense University College of Engineering and University of Southern Denmark.
The faculty has research and educational activities in both Odense and Sønderborg.

The Faculty of Engineering operates in a binding interaction with society.
The combination of the needs of society and the academic competences of the Faculty of Engineering leads to growth, development and welfare through applied technical research at the highest level combined with the education of highly qualified and internationally orientated graduates in engineering.

The Engineering Education Model of the University of Southern Denmark (DSMI)
DSMI applies to all engineering study programs
Through a project based and holistic approach, DSMI focuses on the development of the students’ academic, personal and learning competences
Students educated according to DSMI are characterized by being internationally orientated, creative, innovative and interdisciplinary as well as business orientated.

An increasing number of highly skilled international students.
