EcoFoil® can be stapled on the upper side of ceiling panels. It will reflect 96% of heat coming through the roof. Cut the foil on site to the ceiling panel’s shape , staple it in place: the ceiling instantly becomes a heat shield, for up to 20 years (tested in UV accelerator).

EcoFoil® is designed to encapsulate fiber insulation, to enhance the overall product properties. Inner layers can be heat sealed to themselves or to other materials. Can be incorporated into manufacturing processes.

EcoFoil® is manufactured in an ISO 9001 factory in the UK, by high pressure bonding a multilayer of highly reflective aluminum foil with tough-tear resistant core, especially designed to act as solar radiation, vapor and gas barrier in hot and humid climates.

EcoFoil® acts as an excellent vapor barrier to seal new or existing soft insulation. Ensuring insulation performance is not compromised by interstitial condensation, which would otherwise reduce insulation performance and could cause damage to the overall construction.

EcoFoil® is a radiant barrier: it needs to be installed facing at least one air space, from 19mm to 25mm deep.

The foil blocks solar heat striking a roof from conducting through the tiles and insulation layers. Without Eco-Foil ®, heat crosses any air spaces as unwanted infrared energy, warming the inner skin of the structure and overheating the room.

Recommended application: wall insulation

Eco-Foil® is a two sided single foil for use as a heat reflective lining within the fabric of sustainable homes, most prefabricated domestic and commercial building components including portable and modular structures.

Eco-Foil® has an emissivity of only 0.05: 96% of radiant heat or cold is reflected back.

The membrane eliminates excessive heat gain caused by incoming solar radiation yet can keep the room warm during cold weather. No matter the season, room temperatures are far easier to control

Recommended application: roofs in tropical countries

Thermo-Foil®ES is a radiant barrier: it needs to be installed facing at least one air space, from 19mm to 25mm deep.

When used in conjunction with PE foam, PU foam, fiberglass or solar reflective roof coatings, Thermo-Foil®ES can improve the U-Value of that structure by up to 20% in tropical weather conditions.

Recommended application: cold storage facilities

Thermo-Foil®ES is ideal for insulating cold storage warehouses walls and roofs without adding thickness to the structure.

It is recommended to place a layer of ThermoFoil®ES on either side of the soft insulation panels to reflect heat back outside and cold back inside.

The foil is bug proof and will not attract mold or fungi. It is also an excellent moisture and dust particles barrier, making it ideal for structures where safety is a priority, such as pharmaceutical and food and beverage.

Insuflect™ is an aluminum composite membrane with a kraft paper side designed to insulate foam panels, for the life of a building.

The 12.5 micron aluminum foil is coated with a proprietary film that is guaranteed to stay bright and never to tarnish for more than 60 years.

This foil is bonded to a 100 micron cross-laminated extra-tough Valeron® core, then bonded to an 80 gram stout kraft paper. The paper acts as an interface allowing foam insulation to adhere to the foil.

A perfect Vapor Control Layer

Insuflect reflects 96.7% of radiant heat / cold back, and provides a 100% waterproof membrane with a very low 0.021g/m moisture transmission rate. It offers a perfect protection to the foam insulation against humidity.

Reduce Carbon Emissions with Insuflect™

Insuflect™ has been independently tested to save 12.33kg of CO2 emissions per square meter (sqm) per year. On un-insulated solid and cavity walls, savings can total 18.2kg of CO2 per sqm. When used on both sides of a foam board, these figures are doubled!

Insulating & Waterproofing Aluminum Composite foil with Cross-Laminated Valéron® core

Terrethene™ has been developed for sub-surface applications. It is a multi-layered membrane made from polyethylene, aluminum foil and high tensile woven substrates that block the migration of vapour, moisture, water and various environmentally harmful gasses. These laminated films combine to form a membrane that protects against Methane (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Radon gases. An additional benefit is the partial plastic memory, which allows the membrane to be used in three dimensional detailing of building structures where conventional gas membranes will not profile. Trigger levels from which a gas barrier is needed are as follows: Methane 1 % by volume in air (5% being the lowest explosive level – L.E.L), Carbon dioxide 1.5% by volume in air and radon in designated areas where the Becquerel’s level is above 200.

UK-based aluminum composite foil manufacturer Apollo Insulation Ltd. has developed two high-performance, heat-reflective adhesive tapes for the building sector: ThermoFoil Tape and EncaSeal Tape. Both have been designed to last more than 20 years.

One side of Apollo Insulation Tapes is coated with a specially developed waterproof acrylic adhesive with a release liner. Once in position, the adhesive is formulated to migrate into the tarnish-proof coating, where it sets quickly and provides a life-long, watertight bond.

ThermoFoil Tape: general use adhesive tape

ThermoFoil Tape is designed as a seal, to join adjacent sheets of ThermoFoil ES, EcoBrite, EcoFoil, Insuflect and other aluminum foils. It is also recommended for sealing around stud-work, doors and window frames. The tape will prevent air infiltration and insure buildings meet mandatory air pressure tests. The special curing adhesive will bond strongly with any substrate for the tape’s entire lifespan.

Recommended use: standard foil installation in domestic and commercial buildings, in floors, ceilings, roofs and walls.

EncaSeal Tape: UV-resistant, fire resistant adhesive tape

EncaSeal Tape’s aluminum surface is coated with a patented coating that ensures its UV resistance for life: its bright side never tarnishes. EncaSeal Tape is 100% water-proof, bug-proof and achieved a Class 0 BSA476 fire rating, the best score attainable.

EncaSeal Tape has a strong, high density polyethylene (HDPE) substrate core which ensures a long life and keeps wastage to a minimum during installation.

EncaSeal Tape can be used independently or in conjunction with Apollo Insulation EncaSeal aluminum composite foil. It can be installed onto ducting carrying hot air at 130˚C without delaminating or coming away from the insulation. It has been tested with approved concentrated disinfectants and can be pressure-washed up to 207 bar at 300mm.

Recommended use: air-conditioning ducts, pipework, storage tanks.
