Come, let us worship God. *PRAYER OF THE DAY…….…………………………………..Dennis Siewert Master Gardener, you feed the world from what you grow. You feed our spirits from your love. Amen. *HYMN #403 ………………………………."Open Now the Gates of Beauty" TIME WITH THE YOUNG CHURCH Nancy Siewert CALL TO CONFESSION………………………………………….Dennis Siewert PRAYER OF CONFESSION (unison) ………….………………Dennis Siewert Giving God, you have created us in your image, a little less than angels. Yet there are times when we don’t feel like we amount to much, and other times when we think we are better than others. When we do not keep things in perspective, O God, forgive us. When we think that we do not have “enough” faith, even when Jesus tells us that the tiniest amount is all it takes, forgive us. When we discourage others by suggesting that they do not have enough faith, forgive us. When we make excuses not to do your will, when we seek revenge rather than reconciliation, forgive us. In all times and places where we fail to be the people you call us to be, forgive us. SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION WORDS OF ASSURANCE *RESPONSE IN SONG #626 As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you. You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship you.
