VetCancer Registryhttp://www.vetcancerregistry.com/The VetCancer Registry (VCR) disseminates epidemiologic data pertaining tocats and dogs with tumours diagnosed by histopathology. Any licensedveterinarian can submit a case via the Internet. Cases can be freely viewed andfiltered searching options are available. Each case presents basic information,diagnostic information, and initial and secondary treatment options. Informationis provided on the history and purpose of the VCR, registration, and casesubmission process.

DatabasesDatabases contain bibliographic, factual, or statistical information, which isusually accessed by searching for a specific term or selecting from a browseablemenu. Here is a selection of different types of databases:

Listing of Inherited Disorders in Animalshttp://www.vetsci.usyd.edu.au/lida/index.phpLIDA is a searchable factual database that contains data on the prevalence ofinherited disorders among Australian dogs. Provided and maintained by theFaculty of Veterinary Science, University of Sydney, LIDA is aimed at breeders,vets, and potential puppy purchasers. It can be searched by breed groups and byorgan system. Result sets include information on the disease and alternativenames, a description of the disease, presenting signs, available treatments, andrelated disorders.
