@SodexoCareers vs. @SodexoJobs

I’m not in this alone.

North American Facts:6,000 clients served in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico

10 million consumers served every day700 facilities management sites

9.3 million meals served every day120,000 employees in North America

8.0 billion (USD) in annual revenue (Fiscal Year 2010)

Worldwide Facts:15.3 billion € revenue

380,000 employees and 34,000 sites50 million consumers every day in 80 countries

21st largest employer worldwide

A few of the facts:

Just because we tell them how great we are doesn’t mean we are great.

At Sodexo, we believe that the Quality of Life contributes to the progress of individuals and performance of

organizations. We support and encourage our employees to shape their own future and grow with the company...

Our employer brand is the difference between working for a “food service company” and working for Sodexo.

People change what people think about our brand.

Real people with real stories.

Employees define your employer brand.

So you launched a Corporate Career Facebook Page, now what?Be responsive, authentic, and honest or don’t bother.

Recruiting outside the box starts with our own department.

It’s not about the numbers. Oh wait… yes, it is.

The numbers are not engagement. Oh wait… yes, they are.

More than 45% of our candidates used one or more of our social networking spaces in their Sodexo job search.

If you can’t get your own people to engage how are you going to get others to engage?

We want to engage in a meaningful and long lasting way.

“The new technologies are not only changing the way we communicate, but communication itself, so much so that it

could be said that we are living through a period of vast cultural transformation. This means of spreading

information and knowledge is giving birth to a new way of learning and thinking, with unprecedented opportunities for

establishing relationships and building fellowship.”

Who the hello is going to argue with the Pope?

Sometimes it’s trial an error, sometimes it’s instinct, but most of the it’s strategy.

You have to know where you want to go before you start the journey.

Look at what other companies are doing. Add your own touch. Be respectful.

“If you don't have a mobile strategy, you don't have a future strategy.” - Ian Carrington, EMEA, Google

• +3000 visits and just under 20,000 page views/month.

• +93,000 page views in less than 6 months

• ~50% of visitors are on the Android Operating system;

23% on iPhone and 8% on Blackberry

• 8% of the traffic is now coming from iPads

We look at the company, we look at our numbers, we look at our tools, we look at our employees, and we make adjustments.

Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and that some days you are the statue.

Not everyone is going to “like” us.

First, have a comment policy. Second, stick to the policy. Third, make sure people know about your policy.

We will never reach the finish line.

If we do… then we did something wrong.

“I recently interviewed for a career position with Sodexo. Unfortunately I was not the person selected. The hiring

manager called me to explain the person selected for the position was a current Sodexo employee who was

advancing his career.

I was disappointed but I knew that I was right when I applied to Sodexo for a career position. Knowing that if you are currently employed with Sodexo and do well,

promotions will come. When looking for a new employer it is important to know how they treat employees. All this has done is make me want to work there even more.”
