History

Compassion international was founded in 1952. By Rev. Everett Swanson after a successful preaching tour in

south Korea. He first named it the Everett Swanson evangelical Association

In 1963, It was changed to compassion incorporated due to the growth of the organization.

Their Mission

In response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.
