3. Private sector Recommendation R 9 Recommendation R 9 Recommendation R 9 as specified
Due to the burning process, slight colour deviations, i.e. a certain play of colours, is unavoidable. A play of colours within the covering (unglazed, engobed, partlyglazed or glazed) is desirable and characteristic for a specific ceramic material.Any stains, indentations or coloured spots that were intentionally applied for decorative purposes are not to be considered defects. Certain decors have a tendencyto the formation of crazes. This does not affect the remaining properties of our ceramic material.

Step-safety / slip resistance
Wet barefoot areas
Testing procedureInclined plane, barefoot walk test, sliding medium: wetting agent.Surfaces are even, micro-rough or moderately polished. The respective areas are allocated to the valuation groups.
Valuation group ABarefoot passages (mostly dry) / individual and collective changing rooms / pool floor in nonswimmer areas, if in the entire area the depth of water amounts to more than 80 cm.
Valuation group BBarefoot passages not classified under A / shower rooms / areas with disinfecting-spray systems / passages around the pool / pool floors in nonswimmer areas, if in parts of them the depth of wateramounts to less than 80 cm / pool floors in nonswimmer areas with artificially produced waves /liftable floors / paddling pools / stairs leading into the water with hand-rails on both sides / laddersand stairs outside the pool area.
Valuation group CStairs leading into the water not classified under B / walk-through pools / inclined pool edge construction.
Working rooms and working areas with a danger of slipping
Commercial areas
Testing procedure
Inclined plane, walk test with safety shoes / sliding agent: oil.The surface construction may be plain, micro-rough, rough or profiled.
In profiled surfaces, the displacement space (V4-V10) is the open cavity between the upper walking plane and the drainage plane.
The required valuation groups are compiled in a detailed table of working areas with a danger of slipping.
(see next page).
