    Anti-Money Laundering TermsLaunderers process criminal proceeds to hide their illegal origin. Criminals disguise thesources of funds, changing their form or moving the funds to a place less likely to attractattention. They legitimize or "launder" money to control and use it ithout attracting

    attention to the underlying criminal activity or to the persons involved.
