Job task as pointed below /-

Oversee the accurate processing of financial transactions and handling of financial and related documentation according to established policy and procedures.

To conduct financial analysis and define the results of the operation of the Hotel.

To ensure a smooth operation of the department through organisation and administration.

To facilitate human resources development and maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments in the Hotel.

Review all journal vouchers prior to updating. To ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled each month and

these to be reviewed and initialled.

Scope of Work – Book-Keeping and Auditing /-

Verification of guest ledger balance / city ledger. Checks the totals of all house fund receipts and its agreement with the

amount booked in the general ledger. Control and follow-up of unclaimed wages and / or salaries. Updating of the insurance register and contract files. Updating prepaid expenses and accruals. Daily banking confirmation. Balance sheet reconciliation. Bank A/C reconciliation and updating.

Financial Analysis /-

Assists the Director of Financial and the Department Heads in preparing for the month-end P&L Review and annual budget.

Assists and advises on controlling of Hotel expenses. Does an analysis of the profit and loss statement of the Hotel and review

monthly closing.

Provides administrative support to the Management with reference to the policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance.

Performs any additional duties as assigned by the FC.

Organisation and Administration /-

Implements and keeps an internal control and audit system which will ensure the efficient supervision of the Hotel valuables and revenues along with the regular rendering of operating results.

Follows all applicable laws relating to general accounting practices, tax regulations and ECOMAN.

Complies fully with the set financial reporting deadlines and guidelines, as outlined in ECOMAN and by the FC.

Authority fees compliance. Month-end closing of accounts. Meeting corporate reporting, requirements and deadlines.

Miscellaneous /-

Ensures that self is familiar with in-house facilities to assist guests. Informs and updates the FC on problems and unusual matters. Attends meetings and training required by the FC. Assists colleagues when needed. Ensures guest satisfaction by performing duties such as attending to their

requests and inquiries courteously and promptly. Accepts flexible working schedule when necessary for the hotel’s

uninterrupted service. To always be updated on:

Hotel facilities and special promotions. Marketing promotions. Laws relating to own field of responsibility.

Stays abreast of current and new industry technology relating to function. Performs required duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient

manner to achieve the overall objective of the position.
