abilities, can work together to leverage our complementary resources on a global scale.”

Vice president, ABEST21 Dean, FEB-Universitas Brawijaya Distinguish guest, ladies and gentlemen, the most honorable prof. Itoh, On behalf Abest21 and as vice president of abest21, I would like to thank all of you for joining the first anniversary Abest21 celebration. We are all here, joining abest21 for one purpose, i.e., improving quality of our

business school and creating future leaders. Abest21 has provided lessons how important improving our education system continuously by practicing Kaizen principal. We are coming from different places, cultures and background, but our same vision has bounded us to work closely hand in hand together. In the beginning of 90’s, issue on globalization was rising up and frightened most developing countries and business entities. This is also taking place in the education institutions where some of them are not ready having competition, facing overseas universities in the home country. I can learn from John Nash, the nobel prize winner 1994, his famous theory “the game theory” teaches us how can we overcome the tight competition through “collusion” between the parties. So, based on the theory, we have to work hand in hand between all abest21 members to realize our vision. Abest21 is our bridge to reach our vision and we have to thank prof. Itoh and Abest21 for facilitating all of us here on the same board. We had a good program yesterday visiting Toshiba Museum where we can learn the Toshiba experience to produce a high technology product. As leading technology industry, Toshiba laid on their research and high quality human resources to continuously improve the quality of product. They have high spirit words, namely passions and intensive enthusiasm. Without passion and intensive enthusiasm, the development of technology where the competition is very tight, cannot be executed continuously. These words are also important for school managements who are requested to innovate and produce a high quality product every day. We are hoping the Abest21 can enlighten our institutions to produce future leaders and prepare a better future for all people and nations. Cooperation and working close together should be based our spirit to grow together and brightened future. Again, thank you for your participation in Abest21 celebration and we will see you in other Abest21 occasions.
