Good News Letters were sent to Brittney Smith, Alicia McConnell, Brenda Cole- Jerrard and Grant Iles for their wonderful effort as Peer Leaders.

Many primary students and some secondary stu-dents have been to see me over the past two weeks to show me their great work in “Principal Time”. There is some wonderful writing taking place as part of the Reading to Learn Program. This pro-gram has been extended into the secondary sub-ject areas this term. Mrs Joanne Blatch is coordi-nating the secondary program while Mrs Debbie Blatch is monitoring progress in the primary de-partment. Celebrate Attendance by notifying the school. Parents or caregivers are required by law to pro-vide an explanation to the Principal to say why their child was absent from school. A note, email, fax or phone call of explanation is acceptable. All notes should contain: 1. Date that the note was written. 2. Child’s name. 3. Days/date the child was absent from school. 4. Reason the child was absent. 5. Year 12 students travelled to Orange High to be given talks about 3 different types of uni-versities. This talk gave us an insight into what courses were available at different uni-versities and also about other things that are available at university for us. Thank you to Mr Cluness and Mrs Bates for the transpor-tation.

Congratulations to Hannah Vickers, Taleah Van Kemenade, Rebecca Vickers, Sydney Tremain, Xavier Charnock, and Grace Monk. We hope you all had a great day.

Good luck to the Yeoval Yabbies as they travel to Cowra on Tuesday to play Water Polo.

Thank you to Brittney Smith, Alicia McCon-nell and Harrison Blatch who travelled to Dubbo with Mrs Tremain for a SRC day. A lady from World Vision talked to them about helping students in our region who don’t like to go to school and teach them the basic things in life such as cooking and washing. While they were there they did a number of teamwork activities. They all thoroughly en-joyed the day.

Reminder to all students: The talk in assem-bly last Friday was about school watch and respect. Hopefully you abide by the guide-lines talked about, in an appropriate manner.

Runners up were Mat-thew Wykes, Josh Berney and Lachlan Wykes and third place went to the team of Jake Monk, Jayden Sarsfield-Cusack and Jordon Harvey. However the star of the show was Mr McLaurin who completed the course in 22 minutes which was a fantastic effort. We will hold another TRYathlon in Term 4.
