WHAT IS THE JOHNS HOPKINS CHILDREN’S CENTER?

The Johns Hopkins Children’s center is a 205-bed facility within the Johns Hopkins medical institution. It serves as Maryland’s only acute care hospital for children. Annually, 9,000 patients and 64,000 outpatients are seen by more than 30 pediatric subdivisions of the Children’s Center. No child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay for medical care. The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center provided 5.3 million in charity care last year.
