Batch Derivation

1 PurposeThis configuration guide provides the information you need to set up the configuration of this building block manually.

2 Preparation

2.1 Prerequisites

2.1.1 Building BlocksBefore you start installing this scenario, you must install prerequisite building blocks. For more information, see the Building Block Prerequisites Matrix for Chemicals.

3 Configuration

3.1 Maintaining Number Range for Derivation

UseThe purpose of this activity is to define a number range for derivation.

Refer to the following file for details of the master data required: SMB10_SNRO_O003_P02_Q03.TXT

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

Transaction code OMAD

IMG menu Logistics General Batch Management Batch Number Assignment Maintain Internal Batch Number Assignment Range

2. On the Number Range Object Maintenance screen, enter DRVNO in the Object field and choose Number ranges.

3. On the Number that identifies the log file entries for a derivation screen, choose Change intervals.

4. On the Maintain number range intervals screen, choose Insert interval.

5. On the Insert interval screen, make the following entries:

3.2 Maintaining Number Range for Condition Record

Use

The purpose of this activity is to define a number range for condition record.

Refer to the following file for details of the master data required: SMB10_SNRO_O003_P02_Q03.TXT

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

2. On the Number Range Object Maintenance screen, enter KONR in the Object field and choose Number ranges.

3. On the Derivation – internal no. assgmt screen, choose Change intervals.

4. On the Maintain number range intervals screen, choose Insert interval.

5. On the Insert interval screen, make the following entries:

3.3 Defining Access Sequences

Use

The purpose of this activity is to define access sequences.

This is a cross-client configuration. Ensure that the target client has appropriate settings (transaction scc4).

2. On the Change View Access Sequences: Overview screen, choose New Entries.

3. Enter BDR1 (MatNumber / MatType) in the AcSq field and choose Enter.

4. Choose the entry and choose Accesses from the Dialog Structure to get to Change View Accesses: Overview screen.

5. On the Change View Accesses: Overview screen, choose New Entries.

6. On the New Entries: Overview of Added Entries screen, make the following entries:

7. Save your entries.

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

5. On the Change View Accesses: Overview screen, choose New Entries.

6. On the New Entries: Overview of Added Entries screen, make the following entries:

20 10 Sender Material Number

30 13 Receiving material type + sending material type

40 11 Sender Material Type

7. Save your entries.

3.4 Assigning Search Procedures to Derivation Event

UseThe purpose of this activity is to assign search procedures to derivation events.
