Fundations: 10 minutes1) Drill-Sound Warmup - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at

each Sound Card below. Students should practice saying letters, keyword, sound for each. Example- a-n-g, fang, /ang/

2.) Word of the Day- Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at the word swipe below. Students should notice the long- i sound. i-e stands for vowel-constant- e.

3.) Sentence- Assigned on Seesaw or, in your Fundations Journal, have students write a sentence using the word swipe.

Reading: 20 minutesStop, Drop and Read

Everyone knows the safety practice “Stop, Drop, and Roll” so let’s add a new twist and make a movement-rich reading game! Assigned on Seesaw, or first choose 1 book to read. Play music so you can walk, hop, and dance around the room, then have someone stop the music. When the music

stops you have to stop, drop to the floor and read! Keep the music off for 2 minutes. Keep reading. Then start the music again. Mark your page with a bookmark, get up, and move again. Repeat this routine as many times as you’d like, or until you finish the book.

Writing: 20 minutesAssigned on Seesaw. If writing in the Fundations Journal is easier, please feel free to upload a picture of the work into the Seesaw assignment each day using the camera tool! If Seesaw is unavailable, please complete in your Fundations Journal.

Writing Prompt: Write 3-4 sentences about something you did over the weekend. Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter, end with punctuation, and use the strategies we have learned to spell your words correctly. Please refer to the "Ways to Spell Words" chart for assistance.

Your writing should include:🔸When you did it. 🔸Who was there. 🔸What you did. 🔸Where you did it.

Math: 30 minutes1) May Calendar Math – Assigned on Seesaw. If Seesaw is unavailable use

templates below or respond to questions in your Fundations Journal.

Image A, below: 1. Write the correct day of the week word to fill in each blank: “Today is…” “Tomorrow will be… “Yesterday was…”2. Illustrate the weather. Remember what does the sky look like? Is anything coming from the clouds? How does it feel outside? Is there wind?3. Tell someone at home about the weather you drew.

3) Practice Math Facts using Xtra Math, Freckle, or Happy Numbers. Complete at least 2 practice activities. Take a screenshot of your progress and send it to your teacher.

Next, go on a glass scavenger hunt in your home! How many things can you find that are made of glass? Use your Fundations Journal and write/illustrate to answer the following questions. Try answering the Bonus question, too!
