Reading: 20 minutesStop, Drop and Read

Everyone knows the safety practice “Stop, Drop, and Roll” so let’s add a new twist and make a movement-rich reading game! Assigned on Seesaw, or first choose 1 book to read. Play music so you can walk, hop, and dance around the room, then have someone stop the music. When the music

stops you have to stop, drop to the floor and read! Keep the music off for 2 minutes. Keep reading. Then start the music again. Mark your page with a bookmark, get up, and move again. Repeat this routine as many times as you’d like, or until you finish the book.

Writing: 20 minutesAssigned on Seesaw. If writing in the Fundations Journal is easier, please feel free to upload a picture of the work into the Seesaw assignment each day using the camera tool! If Seesaw is unavailable, please complete in your Fundations Journal.

Writing Prompt: Write 3-4 sentences about something you did over the weekend. Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter, end with punctuation, and use the strategies we have learned to spell your words correctly. Please refer to the "Ways to Spell Words" chart for assistance.

Your writing should include:🔸When you did it. 🔸Who was there. 🔸What you did. 🔸Where you did it.
