Long O - Assigned on Seesaw or have students draw a line from the word to the correct picture below. Students should practice saying each word.

Scavenger Hunt - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look around the house for one or more words that have a long o sound. Take a picture and email to your teacher.

Option 2 Welded Sounds with -nk. Drill sound warm up for the following keycards and/or listen to the drill sound warm up on my home page under the green link box.Read the sentences and find the words with -nk. When you are done write all words and sentences into your Fundations Journal, boxing the welded sounds. Take a picture and email or upload to seesaw

Next, using the “Organizing My Opinion” template, write if you think the animal is a duck or rabbit and why. (I think it is a duck/rabbit because...).

Remember to include your opinion, three reasons and details, and a conclusion. Finally, check your work for completion and accuracy before submitting. Please remember to use your word wall to assist with spelling!

Today, you will be learning more about adding 10s and 1s using models and applying that strategy when completing word problems. This information is detailed in image A, below. Remember 10s are modeled with lines and 1s are modeled with dots. Then, in your Fundations Journal complete #11, #12, & #14 from image B below, by finding the important information in the problem, modeling the math with 10s and 1s, and completing the equations. Looking for a challenge… complete # 13 and discuss with a family or write about how you solved the problem. Use image C, below, to complete the Exit Ticket. Model each number with 10s and 1.
