  • Watch Math on the Spot to learn how to use a ruler when measuring with inches. Please watch this Brainpop video about measuring in inches and you can work on activities for extra work or play a game.  **Today I want you to compare 10 items. For example: if you wrote down pear, would you say a banana is bigger or smaller than a pear? By how many inches?  If you have time-Go to GoMath 

    and work on 8.2 Share and Show and HW.  

    Watch “The Lion and the Mouse”. After Watching the Video: **Answer the following questions: What is the setting of the story? How do you know? Please answer with details.

    Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

    *Create a list of 10 things you can recycle.

    Water Habitats What you will be doing:

    1. Some animals live in the water. The ocean is one place where animals can live in water.

    a. Can you name any other places where animals live in the water?

    2. Watch the Water Habitats Read Aloud.

    After watching the video 1. **Draw a picture of a Water

    Habitat. Include the animals you would see in the water habitat of your choice.**

    Watch Math on the Spot to learn how to estimate inches of an object.  **Did you know that a small paper clip is one inch long. What other objects can you find that are 1 inch long. Write a list.  This is a good Brainpop video that explains measuring with different objects.  If you have time-Go to GoMath 

    and work on 8.3 Share and Show and HW. 

    Choose a fable from RazKids, Epic, youTube video (with your parent’s permission), NetFlix, your book collection, etc.

    After Watching the Video: **Draw a picture of the main characters and the setting in the book. Using one part of the book, add speech bubbles and insert what the characters are saying.

    Letter Writing 

     

    *Watch the Letter Writing Video 

     

    *Write a letter to someone encouraging to take care of the 

    earth.  

     

    *Use the Letter Writing Paper or notebook paper to do your 

    writing.   

     

    Land Habitats What you will be doing:

    1. Think of your favorite animal. What does it look like where that animal lives? Is it hot, cold, snowy, or dry? What kind of plants also live there?

    2. Watch the Land Habitats Video.

Right Circle: What is different in “Little Red Riding”? Overlapping Center: What is the same in both videos?     

    Choose a Picture and Write

    What you will be doing:

    3. As you watch, think about something new that you learned and something you found to be interesting.
