• Vibration fatigue compatible solvers• Spot weld analysis • Strain life (EN) analysis
• FEReader glyph• Allows users to output all data available from supported FE files.
• FE results file format support• Altair H3D support• FEMZIP‐N (OptiStruct/Nastran OP2)
• Premium Materials Database• 7 new material entries added to the database bringing the total
number of material entries to 126. • All materials tested at the Advanced Materials Characterization & Test
Facility (AMCT) operated by HBM Prenscia in Rotherham, UK.

• There is a significant increase of the processing speed when DesignLife is translating FE results.
• The speed up achieved depends on the:‐• FE input file type• Proportion of the FE results being used• Analysis type.
nCode DesignLife 13.1: Translation Speed Improvements
10 times faster!
27 Gb Spot weld ODB file 15 Gb FRF RST file
2.2 times faster!

• This new glyph uses virtual strains created by unit loads along with measured strain histories from gauges matching the virtual gauges to reconstruct the force histories required to cause the measured strains.
• Improved worked example (#20)• Part of the Virtual Load Generation option

• More accurate modelling of the complete failure process that leads to better correlation with test
• Uses standard seam weld modelling• Ability to analyse the detailed design of individual welds• Multiple failure modes may be investigated• Efficient, only critical locations are analysed• Supports multiaxial time based loading• Residual stresses in weld may be included

• Vibration Fatigue:
• Vibration Analysis of Solid Seam Welds.
• Vibration Analysis of Seam Welds from Force Results.
• Walker mean stress correction method added to Standard SN Engine.
• Support for user selected critical plane angle.
• Editing of multiple material maps using the “Edit Material Mapping” now possible.
• PercentByEvent, TSToFETable, ModalCoordInput and ReSumLife are regular glyphs (no python).
• Removed need for X server libraries on Linux for HPC applications.
