BETTER CHOICES BETTER HEALTH SOUTH DAKOTA

Put more life into your life!Don’t let an ongoing health condition get the best of you. Take control by signing up for Better Choices, Better Health® (BCBH). BCBH, part of Good & Healthy South Dakota, is a chronic disease self-management program designed to help you get back in charge of your life.

This interactive workshop is offered once/week for 6 weeks. Each session is 2 ½ hours long. Trained leaders, many of whom are volunteers and have a chronic illness themselves, will facilitate the workshops, which are not disease specific. During a workshop, you may meet individuals with arthritis, diabetes, heart disease or breathing problems, as well as others who have been diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions. This program is appropriate for anyone looking for better ways to cope with chronic conditions, and to learn how to better care for themselves or a loved one.

People may sign up through the SDSU Extension Office. There is a suggested $10 donation but they will not turn anyone away if they can’t pay. For more information or to register call 1-888-484-3800 or visit: goodandhealthysd.org/BCBHregister.

Meetings are Tuesday evenings, January 19 - February 23.
