TIPS TO HELP YOUR CHILD

1. Visit the school’s website regularly.

On the school website, you can find information about:

• the school calendar

• staff contact information

• upcoming events like class trips

• tests and exams

2. Support homework expectations.

Homework reinforces and extends classroom learning.

Develops a sense of responsibility.

You can help to create a conducive study environment.

3. Send Your Child to School Ready to Learn.

A nutritious breakfast fuels up the kids.

• Ensure adequate amount of sleep.

• Ensure consistent bedtime routine

Limit use of stimulating diversions like TV, video

games and Internet.

4. Teach Organisational Skills.

Get him/her to note down on diary and check it to

monitor.

Ensure that your child has completed all

homework and packed his/her school bag on the .

Break down tasks into smaller,

manageable chunks.

Take a break after a 45-minute study

period.

6. Take Attendance Seriously.

Stay at home when unwell.

Examination Matters

In the event that your child is absent

for any examination, an official medical

certificate is required.

• Absence from school must be accompanied by a

medical certificate or excuse letter.

• Absences and late-coming are closely monitored.

(Advisory letter will be issued)

• Parents are to report to General Office and make

a request in the event child needs to leave school

early. To keep FT informed.

• Discouraged from taking children on trips during

school term and curriculum hours.

• New attendance taking (SMS to parents)

Snack time (between 12.00-12.30pm for 10 mins)
