Getting Started Chapter 1The Emoze push messaging service supports a variety of email accounts, such as Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo and your local service provider (ISP). You can have a few different email accounts on your mobile device.

Add New Account 1.1

Creating an email account on your new mobile device has been made to be as streamlined as possible. Once the application is loaded, the first screen enables you

to add an account. Tap on the message or the + button.

The list of available data sources appears. A wide variety of email services are supported.

Select the type of email account you want to configure.

NOTE: You can create more than one account.

The registration screen appears.

NOTE: You do not need a special username or password for your mobile device. Use the same username and password as you use for that account on your PC.

Add Outlook Web Access account by selecting Microsoft Exchange from the

available services list

Enter your account details:

Select the folders you would like to sync

Select “calendar” if you wish to synchronize the calendar's events from your email

account (server) with the mobile device (bi- directional synchronization).

The Emoze application supports synchronization of the following Calendar and

contacts features:

Displaying the events

Deleting events

Updating events

Creating new events

According to the subscriber's settings, a reminder will be displayed

and/or an alert will sound before a meeting

NOTE: Emoze supports Multiple calendar synchronization, Enabling each calendar to synchronize separately

All Inboxes ‎ 1.2

The “All Inboxes” is another way of displaying your emails.‎

You can know the origin of each email by its account color.

You will see emails from all your email accounts in one unified “Inbox”. The emails

will be sorted by arrival date & time

You can also see the importance notification of the email (high/ low)

Configuring the Account 1.3

Once the email account has been set-up, you can customize the account parameters.

From the accounts screen tap and hold an email account.

The following customization options are available:

Open Opens the Inbox

Send/ Receive Manual Synchronization

Compose Email Opens a blank email

View Folders Display folders list

Account Settings Settings for the account

Disable/ Enable Account Disable/ Enable Account Synchronization

Rename Account Enables to set/ edit the account’s name

Remove Account Removes account and deletes all account

information

Inbox Chapter 2

The Emoze Push Mail user interface is very user-friendly and intuitive. You can create

new mail, receive mail, read, reply, and forward mail.

Receive Email 2.1

When a new mail arrives you will see a notification icon on the top of the device

home screen. You can open the notification panel by pressing and dragging the top

panel down.

Pressing the notification message will open the relevant Inbox or message.

Inbox view 2.2

The user is able see the number of the unread emails at the top of every Inbox. Tap and hold on email to open the object context menu with the following options:

Reply Replies only to the sender

Reply to all Replies to all the recipients

Forward Sends the email to a 3rd party

Mark as Read/Unread Marks or unmark the email as read

Set Flag Mark email with Follow-up flag

Mark/Unmark All Mark every email

Details Displays the email's details (from,

Global Address list (GAL) 2.3

Emoze provides remote GAL access to the organization’s MS Exchange email server.

Corporate users can add recipients from personal MS Exchange contacts list, device

address-book and Global Address List.

This feature is done automatically. Just start typing the recipient name and select

him from the list as shown below:

As shown above, the contact list on the left has more recipient possibilities that

don’t appear on the device’s address book.

Note: This feature is supported from MS Exchange 2007 and higher.

Archive Emails 2.3.1

You can archive emails to a dedicated folder for quick access or saving them

from being deleted during cleanup.

Account Settings Chapter 3

Select “account setting” from the context menu.

The following customization options are available:

Service name shows the active email account

Server address shows the push mail server's address

User name shows the user name logged in for that email account

User password shows the password (encrypted) for that email account

Depending on the Service mode, other fields may be activated

If the Service Mode is either POP3 or IMAP, the following fields are displayed:

Mail address – the email address of this account

Push Mail server – the push mail server's address

Incoming Server IP/Name – the POP3/IMAP mail server's address

Incoming user name

Incoming Password

Use SSL on incoming- Yes/No

Incoming server port number

Outgoing Server IP/Name –server address/IP

Outgoing user name

Outgoing password

Use SSL on outgoing Yes/No

Outgoing server port number

NOTE: If you use an email client such as Microsoft outlook, Mozilla or Thunderbird to access your messages, configure your email client settings to leave a copy of your email on the server.

The Sync Settings allow you to customize the way your mobile device handles your messages.

Show- Select how many emails you want to be able to view in the Inbox of

the email account.

Delete Policy - When you delete an email from your mobile device, you can

choose whether it will be deleted only from the device or both from the

device and the PC

The Calendar Rules allow you to customize the way your mobile device handles and ‎synchronizes your calendar events. ‎

Sync Period – Enables you to choose how many days go back to retrieve emails

Downloaded Attachments 4.3

Emoze provides the user with an option to view all the files downloaded in a single

location. When the user clicks on the “Attachments” button from the main screen he

we will get a concentrated list of all the attachments downloaded from all his email

accounts

The attachments list is organized by date.

By selecting the attachment the user can view it or open the email which contains

the attachment.

Press any attachment in order to view it

You also have the option to remove any attachment from the list

Security Chapter 5The Emoze application enables you to remotely perform operations such as wipe,

lock, find location, etc., In case the device was lost or stolen.

From the accounts screen press the Security icon.

Check the “Remote Protection” and select your PIN code.

Select “activate” in the next screen in order to enable the functionality.

Wipe Settings 5.1

You can remotely wipe your mobile phone by sending SMS or email.

The device “wipe” action will erase all the data from your mobile phone and will

return your phone to its factory settings.

The advantage of using SMS lies in the fact that this functionality will operate even if

the GPRS connection is disabled for any reason.

All of the following operations are protected by a PIN code.

Enter your PIN code

In order to wipe all your data you can do the following:

1. Send an email to any of the accounts created in the Emoze application using

the following format as a subject: [wipe # “your PIN code”]

For example: if your PIN code is: 1234 send an email with: wipe#1234 as the

subject.

2. Send an SMS to the phone using the following format: [wipe “your PIN code”]

Note: you can define the exact email address or phone number which has the

permission to perform the remote wipe

Anti-theft settings 5.2

SIM card Replacement Alert: 5.2.1

In case the SIM card was replaced the user will receive a text message alert to

predefined number with the new SIM number.

Device Lock 5.2.2

To remotely lock the device send [lock # “your PIN code”]

Locate Device 5.2.3

In case the device was lost or stolen, send [location # “your PIN code”] to receive an email or SMS with a Google maps link to the device location.

Device Alarm 5.2.4

To locate the device send [PlaySound # “your PIN code”] this will trigger a high volume beeping sound on the device

Storage Card Encryption 5.3

The Emoze application supports encrypting the attachments downloaded to the SD

card ‎or phone. Moving the SD card from one device to another makes the

downloaded ‎attachment files unreadable.‎
