At Julie Payette, we have 14 school busses drive through ourparking lot everymorning and afternoon, aswell as numerous cars that use our Kiss and Ride program. This can make for a very busy parking lot atimes. However, if everyone follows some simple rules and guidelines, the traffic flows quite smoothlyFor the safetyand convenienceof everyone, weaskthatyou obey the rules listedbelow.

    1. The right lanes are for school

busses andemergency vehicles only.2. While in the Kiss and Ride queue, , unless you see your

child in the waiting area at the west side of the school. At that time, you may use thecrosswalk to get your child and then get back in your car. We need to keep the queuemoving.

    3. to indicate your intention to pull into the Kiss and Ridelane, intoa parkingspace, and tomerge back into the parking lot traffic.

    4. Parking anywhere other than adesignated parking space clogs up traffic. If there are no spaces available, continue toloopuntil a spaceopens up.

    5. unless you have a

visible sticker indicating that you are entitled topark there.6. between 7:30 and 8:30 AM andbetween 2:00 and 3:00 PM. This will keep the parking lot traffic moving and allow ourbusses toget to their next route in the morning and todropoff our students on time in theafternoon.

We are still in need of volunteers to help with Kiss and Ride inboth the morning and afternoon. If you could volunteer for halfanhour, one day per week onyour way toor from work, itwouldassist us in keeping the traffic moving and, most importantly, keep our students safe. Please contact Mr. Rousell if you arewilling to help.

Registration forms are generated each year by the Durham District School Board. Please check the formcarefully, sign the back portion, and return it promptly to your child's home room teacher noting anychanges from last year. If there areanyspecial arrangements concerning your child, please make sure alinformation is clearly communicated in writing and discussed with the home room teacher and the schooadministration. Legal documentation (a Court Order) must be on file in the school office before anycustody concernscanbe addressed.

Agendas are a great organizational tool for students and provide a form of dailycommunication betweenhome andschool. At the front of the agenda is an insert thatoutlines information, practices, expectations and procedures at Julie Payette P.S.Please take a moment to review these pages with your child, sign
