The Memphis School of Preaching will host the 2 nd Annual World Evangelism Seminar on Friday and Saturday, October 13 th -14 th , 2017. The theme of this year’s seminar is “How To Reach The Masses.” This seminar will showcase some of the outreach programs being utilized by the church to reach the masses (Mat. 28:18-20). You will learn about the great work being done by “The World Video Bible School,” “The Gospel Broadcast Network,” and “The Fishers Of Men.” Attendees will also learn how they can use these good works individually and congregationally. Instructions will likewise be given on “Teaching The Lost,” and “Short Term Missions.” The seminar will start on Friday evening with congregational singing, and then we will hear a message on the topic, “If I Be Lifted Up” (cf. John 12:32). Hook-ups, etc. are available for RV’s and Campers (Please call 901-751- 2242 to reserve space). Because the MSOP World Evangelism Seminar is the Friday night and Saturday immediately prior to the Spiritual Sword Lectureship, hosted by the Getwell church of Christ, those traveling some distances may wish to attend the World Evangelism Seminar, and then also attend the Spiritual Sword Lectureship. On Saturday, October 14 th , lunch will be provided free of charge (catered by Leonard’s Barbeque). Elders are encouraged to come and hear of opportunities for the church to be involved in the Great Commission (Mat. 28:18-20). Preachers will be edified in the work of the Lord. Deacons and other members will learn about opportunities on how to become involved in world evangelism. This seminar is for the whole family. Please see more information on the schedule listed in this issue of the Yokefellow. We hope to see you October 13 th and 14 th . September - October 2017 | YOKEFELLOW 3

The first semester of the 2017-2018 graduate-level classes--the MSOP Ongoing Spiritual Training program--at the Memphis School of Preaching is upon us. On Thursday, September 14, 2017, the classes will resume, focusing on General Biblical Introduction, Genesis, and Matthew.

While these classes are offered to alumni of MSOP for a graduate diploma beyond the two-year program, they are open to anyone who may be interested in gaining a more thorough knowledge and understanding of God’s Word. As in the past, there is no charge for these classes, one desiring to participate does not have to have been a part of these classes or the two-year program in the past, nor does one have to participate in all three. These classes, taught by experienced teachers who have become acquainted with these subjects over many years, will run through December 14, 2017.

As in the past, the courses will be of special interest not only to preachers, elders, and Bible class teachers, but, indeed, to all Christians! Registration will take place at the first class meeting on September 14, 2017. The Memphis School of Preaching is located at 3950 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125. One may take these classes at the school or on-line (please see www.msop.org for details). Feel free to call if you have any questions; the number is 901-751-2242. We look forward to helping you make the MOST out of your spiritual training!

FUTURE PREACHERS AND THEIR FAMILIES NEED YOUR HELP

There are men who want to preach, but they need your help. They realize their need for education and training, and they are willing to leave behind their extended families, jobs, and homes in order to come to MSOP for two years.

These men (and their families) have shown themselves willing to make personal sacrifices, because they want to preach the gospel, and to teach the lost about the Savior, Who gave so much for them, making possible their salvation.

Thankfully, because of the generous contributions of so many, we have greatly reduced the amount of support needed for housing (a reduction of $1,000 or more for each family, each month). Yet, these good men still need food, clothing, insurance, and the other expenses of living.

We dare not fail our Lord by refusing to help deserving brethren to prepare themselves to be faithful gospel preachers. Let us hear from you as soon as possible. Send your support for them to MSOP. Remember, your contributions to MSOP are tax deductible.
