PurposeWe designed our video to generate discussion for our community. After connecting with their previous experiences and understanding of what bullying is, we will then challenge students to consider the ways in which they have used social media to bully others.
Students will:
Recognize how words and images on social media have the same effect as traditional bullying
Identify ways in which they have been involved with social media bullying
Engage in discussion of how we can build our community rather than tear it down
+Bullying: It’s not just for kids!
Concrete Examples
Reflection with the question, “Am I a bully?”
Practice with a call for action
Abstract thinking, “ Have I done these
things?”
How to get college students to rethink their actions?
Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle
