Message by His Grace the Right Reverend Bishop Dr BE Lekganyane
As an active Trustee and Director of Kganya Benefits Fund Trust and the Kganya Group of Companies, I remain keenly interested in their activities as a major service organisation to Zion Christian Church. The Kganya Group celebrated its 28th anniversary in March of 2017. Zion Christian Church has celebrated over 100 years of existence and this is indeed a remarkable era for both organisations.
I have come to the realisation that much has been achieved from very humble beginnings and both the Kganya Group and Church Officials must be commended for the manner in which they continue to be of service to you the individual member and loyal follower of Zion Christian Church.
I exhort the Kganya Group to continue to execute its mandate for the benefit of the congregation. I also urge you, as the ZCC member, to continue proving your loyalty and to freely make use of the many real benefits that the Kganya Group has to offer you. These are benefits that make a positive difference in the life of each member and as the Leader of the Church I remain comfortable that Church Leadership is doing everything in its power to ensure that members of the Church do not suffer unnecessarily.
Under my direction the Kganya Group will continue to develop products and projects that are of benefit to members of the Church. These products must at all times reflect the unity that we feel as members of the Church. They must always be dignified and must serve a real purpose in ensuring the prosperity of our members. I will always have the final say on what product I would deem suitable to the membership of the Church.
Under my direction Kganya will continue to serve members of the Church. This organisation has been developed by Church Leadership for the benefit of membership of the Church. It is therefore of the Church for the Church and will always be in the service of the Church.
The employees of Kganya are fully aware of the role that they fulfil on my behalf and as such you can expect to be respectfully dealt with at all times. I would also urge you to deal with our employees respectfully at all times.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:1. The policy wording:
A contract is when two people agree to do something together. The policy with the application form is a contract. Kganya Insurance Administrators have taken time to explain how the contract works in the policy. The only way that you will become familiar with this contract is if you read it carefully when taking out a Kganya Koloi policy.
Upon taking out a Kganya Koloi policy, please read the contract carefully and if there is anything you do not understand you are free to contact us on 0800 000 538 for assistance with any queries or questions that you may have.
Our trained staff will assist you in a courteous and professional manner at all times and will endeavour to assist you with any queries that you may have, taking the utmost care to ensure that you are satisfied with the outcome. It is our duty to treat customers with fairness and respect and we wish to extend a friendly request that you please also offer the same courtesy to operators assisting you with your queries.
2. Important policy conditions which could impact your claims:
Vehicles can only be insured to a maximum of R60 000 on Kganya Koloi. This means that we will only pay up to R60 000 for your vehicle. However, please note that if the market value of your vehicle is less than R60 000, you will only be covered for the amount that your vehicle is valued at on the date of inception of your policy.
For example, if your vehicle is valued at R25 000, this would be the maximum amount that you will receive (the insured amount). The agreed value will remain the same for as long as you are insured with Kganya Koloi. This means at time of claim, the value of your vehicle will be the same as when you started your insurance policy. For the purpose of a clear understanding, let’s evaluate on the following examples:
Your vehicle is worth R 100 000 You have a total loss, i.e. your vehicle cannot be repaired. You claim from Kganya.
Kganya only insures your vehicle for a maximum of R 60 000. Therefore, if your claim is accepted, Kganya will pay you only R 60 000.
Your vehicle is worth R 25 000 You have a total loss, i.e. your vehicle cannot be repaired. You claim from Kganya.
Kganya only has your vehicle insured for the market value of R 25 000. This is the maximum amount for which your vehicle could have been insured. Kganya will therefore pay you R 25 000 upon acceptance of your claim.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:IMPORTANT:This product is unsuited to vehicles valued at a higher amount than the Maximum Cover amount offered on the policy.
What to do when I have an incident and want to claim?
The approval of Kganya Koloi claims depends greatly on the policyholders themselves. Meaning that if the policyholders, at the time of loss, make sure that they complete the correct documentation and obtain the adequate repair quotations, a claim decision can be made timeously.
It stands to reason that the policyholder who has suffered the loss is the only person who has full detail of that loss. Kganya Insurance Administrators cannot make assumptions about what damage has been caused and therefore cannot pay a claim until it knows exactly what has happened. It is the policyholder’s responsibility to ensure that Kganya Insurance Administrators receives as much information as possible about the loss to be able to be of assistance.
When you have a claim:
1. Please inform your Church Committee.2. Request a Kganya Koloi claim form.3. Please complete it in as much detail as possible.4. The Church Committee must sign the form in the required section.5. The Church must confirm that you are of good standing.6. The Church Committee must confirm that you have suffered a loss and have had an incident.7. Gather all of the required supporting documents listed on the claim form.
Once you have all of the supporting documents listed on the claim form which are required to process your claim, these are the steps you must take:
1. Tear off the proof of submission section of the claim form and keep this page.2. Attach the documentation to the claim form.3. Either hand in the claim documentation at your Church branch or at a Kganya
Service Centre. You may also e-mail the claim form directly to Kganya Insurance Administrators using the above e-mail address.
4. Keep copies of the claim form and supporting documentation until your claim is settled. We may request further information or documentation during the processing of your claim as deemed necessary.
If you have any queries or require further information, please phone Kganya Insurance Administrators to speak to a trained consultant. There is no rule that says the policyholder may not contact Kganya Insurance Administrators offices directly for policy or claim queries. The Church Committees may not prevent you from contacting Kganya Insurance Administrators directly.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:Kganya Insurance Administrators may be contacted as follows:
Call Centre contact number : 0800 000 538E-mail address : [email protected] Service Centres : Nationwide
IMPORTANT:Please note that if you have not heard back from Kganya Insurance Administrations within 10 working days following your claim submission, it is recommended that you phone Kganya Insurance Administrators to ensure that the paperwork has indeed been received by our offices.
Your duties as the claimant:
• It is your duty to be familiar with what you may claim for by reading your policy carefully.
• It is your duty to provide all of the required documentation in order for us to process your claim.
• It is also your duty to submit your claim on time.• It is your duty to follow up on your claim after submission and not that of your
Church Committee.
Important things to remember when you claim:
1. Good standing:
Kganya Koloi has been especially created for members of Zion Christian Church. It therefore stands to reason that the policyholder must be in good standing with his or her Church. This is one of the rules of the Church as well as the policy.
Remember that if you are suspended by your Church for any reason you will no longer be able to pay premiums and you will not be covered under the Kganya Koloi policy. Kganya Insurance Administrators cannot intervene in this matter in any way as you have broken one of the policy rules by being suspended.
You will prove your good standing when the Church official signs your claim form so it is important that you obtain their signatures on the claim form.
2. First amount payable for accident damage:
There is a first amount payable for every claim made by you. These amounts are clearly indicated within the Annexure contained in the Premium Payment Book which forms part of the policy documentation. Any claims below this amount will not be considered by Kganya Insurance Administrators.

IMPORTANT POLICY INFORMATION:3. You can only claim for what is damaged:
You can only claim for what is damaged as a result of an accident that happened after you were insured with us. We will not consider claims for old damages under any circumstances. If an item can be repaired, we have the right to insist on repairs rather than replacing of parts.
4. Quotes from repairers:
Part of the claims process is that you must obtain your own quotations for repairs. In the event we approve your claim, we will pay you an additional R300 to compensate you for this preparation of claim documentation. When obtaining a quote from a repairer it must clearly state what the damages are on the vehicle, as well as what it will cost the repairer to fix the accident related damages on the vehicle.
We require at least two quotations for all damages or losses for which you are claiming.
IMPORTANT: We reserve the right to ask for alternate quotations if we find the amounts
claimed for are too high or damage is inconsistent with photographic evidence provided.
5. Photographs of damage:
You must always ensure that colour photographs, clearly showing the vehicle and all damages incurred, accompany your claim.
6. Proof of Banking details:
It is an important requirement that you provide us with proof of banking details (bank statement) when submitting claim documentation to us as we cannot process payment without this document.
7. Late submission of claims:
The rule of the policy contract is that you must report a claim within 30 days of it happening. Kganya Insurance Administrators cannot consider a claim if it happened more than 30 days prior. Please report your claims immediately after the incident occurred to ensure that no parties involved are prejudiced in any way.
