Minibeast Hunt- Venture outdoors (e.g your garden, the park, the woods etc) to look for minibeasts. Record your results on a ‘tally chart’. Recap previous work - Look closely at two flowers. Can you measure their size, count their petals and describe their symmetry? Use a table to record the data and compare the flowers using appropriate comparison language.

A little bit of fun outside: How many ‘milliliters’ of water can you transfer from one bucket to another within 3 minutes using only a sponge. You will need a measuring jug to measure how many mls of water you have managed to collect at the end of the game. Remember to record/ take pictures and tweet your results.

Minibeast movements game - run around the house / garden. One person to shout out a minibeast’s name and everyone else to move like them:

butterfly - run around, moving your arms up and down at your side.

spider - stand on the sbot and lift your knees and arms as though you’re climbing.

ant - move on all fours.

worm - lie on your stomach or back with straight legs and arms, moving from side to side.

snail - move slowly.
