How Leaves of Absence Affect Your Healthcare Coverage and Other Total Rewards Pay & PTO**

FMLA FMLA Exhausted FMLA Unpaid

• Your medical, dental, vision, HCFSA, STD, LTD and Life/AD&D benefits continue if you pay your required premiums and/or contributions and remain eligible under the applicable plan terms.

• DCFSA and commuter benefits are no longer active.

• You’re direct billed for your active benefit premiums by Aon Hewitt. Direct billing starts at the beginning of the month following the start of your FMLA Leave. Aon Hewitt can’t bill for partial months.

You need to re-enroll in DCFSA within 30 days of returning to work. You can re-enroll in commuter benefits anytime after returning to work.

If you exhaust your FMLA, can’t return to work and your employment ends or your leave is longer than six months, your healthcare coverage ends. You may be eligible for healthcare coverage through COBRA or you may purchase coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. More information is available at www.healthcoverageresources.com/mckesson/home. You may be able to convert/port benefits such as LTD and Life/AD&D to individual policies. See the LTD SPD.

You need to re-enroll in DCFSA within 30 days of returning to work. You can re-enroll in commuter benefits anytime after returning to work.

Continuous FMLA Leave/Baby Bonding — You need to use your accrued PTO to cover 100% of your basic weekly earnings.

Intermittent FMLA Leave — If you’re a non-exempt employee, you need to use accrued PTO to cover 100% of your basic weekly earnings for any time taken off of work. If you’re an exempt employee, you need to use accrued PTO to cover 100% of your basic weekly earnings for full days taken off work. If you aren’t sure whether you’re a non-exempt or an exempt employee, ask your manager.

In most cases, you receive both FMLA and STD. If you exhaust your FMLA, but your STD benefits are still active, you continue to be on a protected leave.

ADA Leave with Disability Benefits ADA Leave Longer than Six Months ADA Leave — Unpaid

• Your medical, dental, vision, HCFSA, LTD and Life/AD&D benefits continue for up to six months from the last day you were actively at work as long as you pay your portion of the required premiums and are getting paid McKesson STD benefits. You must also remain eligible under the plan terms.

• DCFSA and commuter benefits are no longer active.

• You’re direct billed for your active benefit premiums by Aon Hewitt. Direct billing starts at the beginning of the month following the start of your ADA Leave. Aon Hewitt can’t bill for partial months.

• You may elect continued coverage for medical, dental, vision and HCFSA under COBRA, and be direct billed for your coverage.

• Or, you may purchase individual healthcare coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. More information is available at www.healthcoverageresources.com/mckesson/home.

• LTD coverage continues if your active service ends because of a disability for which benefits under the LTD plan are or may become payable. Your premiums are waived while disability benefits are payable. If you don’t return to active service, your LTD coverage ends when the disability ends or when benefits are no longer payable, whichever occurs first. If your active service ends due to a Personal or FMLA Leave approved by Matrix, your LTD coverage continues for up to 12 weeks, if the required premium is paid when due.

• Life/AD&D coverage may continue for up to 12 months from the last day you were actively at work.

• STD coverage is suspended while on leave. In the case of an unpaid leave, your participation ends on the last day of the month following the month in which the unpaid leave begins. In the case of a paid leave, your participation ends on the last day of the month in which the paid leave terminates.

Consult the applicable SPD for further information.

• ADA Leave is unpaid. Your accrued PTO, STD, State Disability benefits, if available, and/or Workers’ Compensation may kick in to replace your basic weekly earnings during your ADA Leave.

• Contact Matrix to learn more about your ADA pay options.

Personal Leave of Absence (30 Days or Less) If You Don’t Return to Work After 30 Days Personal Leave of Absence — Unpaid

• If your Personal Leave lasts more than five days but less than 30 days, Payroll takes any missed premiums for medical, dental, vision and Life/AD&D retroactively when you return to work.

• Your STD, LTD, HCFSA, DCFSA and commuter benefits end the day before your Personal Leave begins.

• All benefits stop at the end of the month following the month in which your Personal Leave began.

• If your Personal Leave begins on the first day of the month, your benefits stop on the last day of that month.

• You may be eligible for healthcare coverage through COBRA or you may purchase coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. More information is available at www.healthcoverageresources.com/mckesson/home.

Before taking a Personal Leave, you need to use your accrued PTO. You accrue PTO only during the first 30 days of your approved Personal Leave.

Military Leave (30 Days or less) Military Leave (31 Days or longer) Military Leave — Pay Differential

• You may continue to receive medical, dental and vision benefits during Military Leave.

• HCFSA, DCFSA, Life/AD&D and commuter benefits end on the day before your Military Leave begins.

• You may continue medical, dental and vision coverage until the end of the month, following the month in which your Military Leave began, after which you may elect continued coverage under COBRA and be direct billed for your coverage.

• Or, you may choose to elect coverage under the federal program for the military (TRICARE).

• You receive supplemental pay — the difference between your current pay and your military pay (if less) for up to 12 months by applying for a supplement. You need to reimburse McKesson for any overpayment of the pay differential.

• No pay differential is paid beyond 90 days unless you provide Matrix and the HR Support Center your Leave Earnings Statement (LES) or Military Orders.
