Decide how much money can be spent on certain gifts or people. 4. Working With Others Working with someone else, follow a recipe and make a gingerbread man or even a gingerbread house! 5a. Expressive Art Create a Christmas model. You could make a Christmas tree using lolly sticks or a snowman by filling up a white sock with rice. 5b. Expressive Art Make your own snowflakes using newspaper or white paper. 2c. Outdoor/About Make a festive wreath using outdoor materials like sticks, holly and leaves that you have found. 1a. Numeracy Make up a Christmas TV schedule by inventing the times of festive programmes and movies you would like to watch. Remember: you can only watch one thing at one time so you’ll need to work out the starting times and how long they last to make sure the programmes don’t overlap. 7b. Health/Wellbeing Make a Christmas card for someone and write a kind message inside. 7c. Health/Wellbeing Make someone special a homemade gift, e.g. a candy cane decoration using a pipe cleaner and beads. 1b. Numeracy Work out the volume of a rectangular present by measuring itslength, height and width and by using the equation: v = l × w × h 5c. Expressive Art Sing a Christmas carol to someone to spread Christmas cheer. Record it or ask them to write you some feedback notes. 6. Technical Pick a present that you wish to give someone. Use the Internet to research the gift and find it for the cheapest price or the best deal. 3b. Literacy Write an acrostic poem using the word Christmas down the left hand side of your page. Choose one activity each week this term and complete as homework. Everyone must do their homework weekly and bring in to school. This will provide you with some literacy, some mathematics, an act of kindness and an outdoor learning experience. Don’t choose more than two of any the same colour.
