How do I do Parenthetical Citation?• For a book - Put the authors name and page info was found on it
parenthesis after the quote.– “One Researcher has found that dreams move backward in time as the
night progresses” (Dement 71).• For a Book with 2+ Authors – Put the last name of all authors in
parethesis and the page info was found on, after the quote.
– “Lot’s of this artwork was psychedelic, with swirling colors and distorted images” (Lindup and Goldstein 91).
• If you mention the author in the sentence then only the page number needs to be place in parenthesis– Freud states that “a dream is a fulfillment of a wish” (154).
• Website – Place the name of the webpage in parenthesis– “Don't forget Senior quotes are due at the end of November.”
