1Which?Background[a]7/4/2015Lim Boon Ping 2015[a] General Background Environmental Forces and FactorsI graduated in Computer Science and Computer Mathematics, I might use my Final Year Project as a presentation for today. Apparently, I am not interested in Information System Technology. Therefore, no my first choice.Although I am one of the LKCFES postgraduate student, I have no idea of building and construction project. Recently, I know more from Mr. Lim Chai Chai one of our MPM lecturer who share a lot of information about this industry.Education, I have almost 9 years working experience in this industry. For sure, I have various of education project in my pocket and cant wait to show to you all.Recently, I have been invited in local film marking team as Screenwriter. Keep for future, might be my Final Year Project.About my current work, the Enrolment Management System could be my presentation! Unfortunately, too much of restriction and have to protect the information between firm and universities. Better save it in the office.I believe life is a project. Life have start and end, finite time frame, unique, etc. which match to requirement to be consider as project.Now, I have 9 years working experience in education industry. I was a high school teacher. Because of the quote Teachers are often compared to master educators of human beings. I never change my ambition since standard one (year one), and my first essay topic at standard three was My ambition: I wish (want) to become a teacher.2FinallyI decided[a]7/4/2015Lim Boon Ping 2015(cont.) How about we construct an event?I decided to present an event, which is the end product (Wedding) look glamor. However, the framework, scope and integration management of wedding could be compare as construct a building.No manner small or huge, a successful wedding completed with strong foundation. Especially, stakeholders play the game and they involve, manage and decide the outcome.My sister, going to marry soon (hopefully). I promise her become her wedding planner and manage this project as a wedding gift for her.She younger then me 3 years old, she always support me and feel proud of me pursuing my masters degree.Besides that, I would like share the project management knowledge to my father. He was surprised that, I study project management for engineering or construction career. In fact, I still myself and not succeeding his career.Every incident happen in our life, can be classified as good one. We have so many problems and difficulties need to face most of the time. Nevertheless, we only have little time to meet the good one. Thats why we need to celebrate.We cant become a human being by our self and its need conditions and requirements. When a baby born, we celebrate and share the joy. In Chinese word, a day or incident to be celebrate called happiness ()When two people decide to commit themselves in relationship and form a family, then we have double happiness. Therefore, the character () joined by two () and always used in Chinese wedding as key symbol or icon since BC 1047 (The Northern Song Dynasty, 7th year) [Refer: Wang An-shi]Double happiness, need double hard works. Its look this is a responsibility of the love birds, but most of the time people need blessing not limit to partner, belief (religions) and people (friends and families). Furthermore, we share happiness and joyful to others and try to extend as many as possible.The transitional Chinese wedding style can be consider a complicated project compared with others.To match wedding into project management, we will discuss in further in next few slides.3How?Project Recognized[b]A project is a temporary organization to which resources are assigned to do work to deliver beneficial change. I try to create a equation for a project to be recognized.A project consists of processes.We need to apply the project management knowledge for every process and its change according internal or external environment factor.However, each process planned and managed based on the limited resources.Number of process and resources are defined.

A wedding plan is a crucial part of the project, its need best practice of communication from stakeholders to determine the concept of the wedding they preferred.Every wedding looks the same but can be very difference in term of requirement, especially seniors in the family. They might refer to their wedding style, which is ages ago for his/her child.Project Manager must identify the communication channels and plan to keep all stakeholders informed with the appropriate one.The scope of the wedding must be determined, couple or their family might go on beyond especially budget to make wedding look good.Role and responsibility for stakeholders who involved in wedding event must plan according talent. Briefing or explanation is needed due to massive number of stakeholders from various background.Project Manager must control and take care the time and cost, because key dates are very important for all parties.Wedding should belong to the Bride and Groom decide, however we need to consider the seniors from family suggestion to carry the event.

This is complexity project and need to be sensitive about the emotional and communication of the stakeholders.No manner how much the time and cost we have or spend, the stakeholders always play the game and will cause the outcome.Stakeholders management skill is required and essential for project management.
