The following is additional information about DT Analyst. 1. DT Analyst has the Event Monitor to provide real-time notification of which

systems are currently down and why. 2. DT Analyst involves operators in the efficiency improvement process via

the Event Monitor, for instance, prompting the operator to explain significant downtimes. Applicable reasons are supplied via a pop-up box. The contents of the pop-up box can be changed by an authorized employee, without any programming required. Various options are provided to involve the operators only when required to gather additional information – not to burden the operators.

3. DT Analyst captures times required for Changeovers, Cleaning, PM, and other non-producing tasks using the Event Monitor.

4. DT Analyst can capture Maintenance Tasks via the Event Monitor (for example, “replaced relay RT031,” “replaced strap cutter blade,” “adjusted cap infeed drive belt,” …).

5. DT Analyst has “out of the box” Web-based reporting with a very easy to use interface so all users can quickly and easily get to real-time and historical reports. DT Analyst reporting requires no development at all; add a new line and it automatically shows up in the reporting Web site.

6. DT Analyst is focused on measurement of DOWNTIMES and understanding the reasons behind Short Stops. DT Analyst Web reporting provides not only the total duration of short stops over a given time period, but also provides the number of stops, which is very important.

7. DT Analyst provides a Web-based Downtime Editor to add data manually, to provide the ability to modify collected data, and to visualize the relationships between data in an MS Project type view.

8. DT Analyst provides an out-of-the box mechanism to record values that occur at the beginning or end of a downtime situation that will help the customer to analyze and use the DT Analyst data for process improvements; these are called VTRs (Values to Record). For example, DT Analyst can snap shot the line speed, package size, SKU, and other data accompanying a downtime.

9. DT Analyst provides the mechanism to enter the SKU, Product ID, Package Size, and other information on the Plant Floor via its Event Monitor.

10. Lower Implementation Cost: The cost to implement DT Analyst will be less than that to implement more custom-oriented solutions since DT Analyst is an out of the box solution. Solutions based on development templates / toolkits often require a lot of programming and systems knowledge.

11. Validation and Site Acceptance Testing Friendly: Testing related to the commissioning of a system utilizing DT Analyst will proceed much more rapidly

as no custom code is required and the only errors will be confined to incorrect tag values or logic set up in the configuration manager. The DT Analyst logic manager engine has undergone extensive testing prior to product release.

12. PLC code changes are not required with DT Analyst. This is a huge advantage for DT Analyst in any industry where PLC code must be validated or where there are more than just a few PLCs involved.

13. Long term support cost. DT Analyst will be far less expensive to support since all the configuration is done through the Configuration Manager interface. Just one tool to work with!

14. DT Analyst is built on industry standards. It uses a standard MS SQL Server database and industry standard OPC (and SuiteLink) drivers.

The bottom line is that DT Analyst has the capability to move you to the next level of efficiency, by virtue of the detailed and accurate information collected that can be used as the centerpiece of a TPM program, resulting in a more productive and profitable manufacturing operation.
