Updates for All1. Facebook and Twitter - Are you on Facebook and/or Twitter but arenot currently following Central Administration? Please "like" us onFacebook at "Central Administration" and follow us on Twitter at"@Central_ES_202". You don't want to miss out on the news, pictures,and celebrations we share via social media. 2. Yearbook Parent/Guardian Support - Do you love the CE yearbook? Do you love photography? Doyou have new ideas for our CE yearbook? If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above thisvolunteer opportunity may be for you! Mrs. O'Sullivan has taken the parental lead on organizing anddesigning our amazing CE yearbook for years. Next year is her last year as her son will be moving on tomiddle school. We are looking for parent/guardian volunteers to help facilitate the CE yearbook! Mrs.O'Sullivan would love to partner with you next year to help transition to new parents/guardians takingthe lead. Please e-mail Dr. Hennegan at [email protected] if you are interested in supporting ourCE yearbook. 3. iReady Math & Reading Assessment - Parent letter was sent via Connect Ed and embedded below. 4. Second Step SEL Curriculum - We are fortunate to be a pilot school for the phenomenal SocialEmotional curriculum, Second Step. The link to Second Step is embedded below if you are interested inadditional information. All students K-5 will engage in one lesson per week during the intervention timeon Tuesdays. Please talk to your child about what they discussed during the lesson. 5. Student-Student Appreciations - Students have an opportunity to give appreciations to oneanother. Every classroom has green paw prints available for students to write an appreciate to oneanother. Two student appreciation tickets are drawn and read out loud over the announcements every

"Thank You" Items1. Meet Up - Thank you to our PTO for organizing the Kindergarten Meet Up! It is always a nice way forour incoming kindergarten students to meet new friends and for families to connect with one another.2. Boosterthon Fun Run: WOW! Thank you to the PTO for bringing the Boosterthon to Central Schoolagain this year! Also, thank you to Cyndi Glass, parent, and Stacy Adelmann, parent, for all of theirhard work on organizing and communicating the Boosterthon. We would also like to thank all thesponsors that made the green t-shirts FREE for every student. Lastly, we want to thank all theteachers, parents, and students for all their efforts in making the Boosterthon the most successfulever!3. Communication - Thank you to Mrs. Adelmann, parent, for her phenomenal communication on thePTO Facebook page. If you are not on the FB page, we highly recommend joining.

Friday. Every appreciation submitted for the week will be posted to a bulletin board outside of Mrs.Edmondson's o�ce. The staff also have an opportunity to appreciate one another in an effort to modelthis for the students. The staff to staff appreciation board is located outside of the principal's o�ce. 6. Safety Drill Information - A.L.I.C.E. parent letter embedded below. 7. Homecoming Float - Mrs. Mattix, parent and Mrs. Dreger, parent, wanted to take a minute tointroduce themselves. Nicole Mattix has daughters in 3rd and 1st grade. Mrs. Dreger's daughter is in1st grade at Central. They are organizing the homecoming �oat this year! Homecoming is September28th. They will be working on the construction of the �oat starting in September. More information is tocome, but Mrs. Dreger wanted to put the dates they are tentatively planning on working on the �oatout there for anyone interested in helping! Construction on the �oat will be at Mrs. Dreger's home. Students are welcome to come and help with aparent, but they must come ready to work! Parents are also welcome to come help without theirstudent. Mrs. Dreger will post on Facebook in the PTO page in the next couple of weeks with any supplies weare looking to borrow or have donated! We will also be putting out information about joining us duringthe parade! Tentative Dates for Construction - Please see the PTO Facebook page for more information Sept 9th, 12th, 19th, 24th ,27th. We will be working starting around 6:30PM and hoping to end by 9:00-9:30 each night the latest. We know that can be late for kiddos, so we understand you may only beable to stay for a portion! Please call Mrs. Dreger at 630-802-9072. Students will have an opportunity to decorate a poster board that will be added to our �oat!There is information regarding the posters embedded below. 8. CHANGES to Transportation - If your child's transportation is going to be different for the day,please send in a note with your child for his/her teacher. If the change occurred AFTER your child leftfor school, please notify by the o�ce of any changes by 11:00AM. 9. Back to School Food Truck - Flyer embedded below.
