What’s Your Festival Sponsorship Goal?

“Festivals and events offer a desirable environment and entertainment outlet for families and children. Festival visitors are among the most approachable of consumers; relaxed and open to new ideas from sponsors. Festival visitors often spend long hours at events over multiple days with no personal agendas; curious and receptive to sponsor product or service ideas.” International Events publication

We work with you to create a customized sponsorship package to best meet your company’s marketing goals.

PRODUCT DISPLAY AREA Major or Multiple Display Areas Electronic Kiosk/Visitor Data Collection Special Drawings/Contests/Giveaways Vehicle Test Drives Interactive Community Art Project

Meet potential customers and collect consumer data.

Why become a Festival Sponsor?

“Sponsorship at events is a great way to achieve marketing goals! According to the worldwide authority on the sponsorship industry, the International Events Group, Inc. (IEG), festivals have a higher audience loyalty than NASCAR or cause marketing. A recent IEG survey shows that 78% of companies agree that participating in festivals has a measurable impact on consumer sales of their product and they provide the most conducive environment for experiential sampling.”

For three days the Indian Wells Tennis Garden transforms into a festive artisan village. Over 200 juried artists from across the country participate in this event.

Indian Wells is in the heart of the Palm Springs Desert Resort Communities.

Civic interests plus a strong marketing plan have been developed to attract serious buyers and collectors. Take this opportunity to:

Indian Wells Arts Festival Mission

The INDIAN WELLS TENNIS GARDEN, with its beautiful landscaped grounds, has been the host sponsor of the INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL since its’ inception. The 54-acre site includes the second largest tennis stadium in the world with 16,100 seats, which hosts in March the renowned BNP Paribas Open. The venue has undergone a $82 million expansion including a new permanent “stadium 2,” and will soon feature a third 5,000-seat stadium, as well as the first tennis museum in the world.

Taking place outdoors on the grass garden plaza 200 award winning artists with a splash of color, transform it into a colorful artisan village and marketplace showcasing thousands of hand-made, one of kind creations.

The INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL boasts high quality work of a wide variety and price range, as well as a friendly atmosphere at a spectacular venue. The public is invited to meet the artists and buy directly from them; to add to a collection, start one, or just to enjoy this great opportunity to support the arts.

Indian Wells Arts Festival Venue

. . . an International Palette!

At the INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL, top mural and street artists work on-site throughout the event creating larger-than-life murals on a 56 x 8-foot wall, and often include a ‘Community Paint’ wall for event-goers to participate.

Larger-Than-Life Art Murals

The INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL artisan village environment includes a Gourmet Market Place with gourmet specialties, while interactive activies such as sidewalk chalk drawing, children’s activities, wine tasting, live musical entertainment and refreshments add to the festivities that are ongoing throughout the day. 2013 COMMEMORATIVE PRINT: INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL commemorative print was exclusively created by the renowned mother/son artists, Linda Lee Kinman and Dusty Kinman of Kinman Studios located in Dexter, Oregon. This talented duo specializes in painting Southwest deserts during the springtime in order to capture the fleeting beauty of wildflowers in oils on linen canvas painted with palette knives.

Linda Lee and Dusty’s Trail To The Pyramids depicts a hiking trail and monument detailed with indigenous flora/fauna brilliantly capturing the beauty and essence of Indian Wells.

It takes the Kinman’s approximately three weeks to create their joint work of art. Dusty works on the background painting the mountains and trees, while mother Linda Lee utilizes her skills in the foreground. Dusty, with the encouragement of his late father, who was also an artist, attended his first festival at the age of 19 and sold 17 paintings in three days. Dusty’s young five-year-old son, Aaden, a budding artist, is also following in the footsteps of his grandparents and father.

“I do what I love to do because I love life,” says Dusty, who hides hearts in every painting.

Recent Festival Highlights

“SALTON TIDE”: Cristopher Cichocki has been creating artworks that incorporate the Salton Sea for nearly a decade. Cichocki has illuminated awareness of the dire ecological issues that confront the Salton Sea and its surrounding regions. Cristopher assembles found objects from the Salton Sea and later appropriates these findings into his paintings, sculptures and installation works. The Indian Wells Art festival showcased one of Cichocki’s fluorescent neon-colored fish installations titled: “Salton Tide.”

This large scale work presented festival goers with an unexpected contrast in the midst of the venue’s prestigious flower garden. In conjunction with “Salton Tide,” Cristopher teamed up with other individuals and organizations that were on hand providing information concerning the future of the Salton Sea.

The artist talks about his project: “INDIAN WELLS ARTS FESTIVAL is the perfect context to raise awareness to the local demographic. Scientists estimate that within 20 to 25 years the Salton Sea will become a dead sea making much of Southern California a dust bowl of toxic debris. People need to be aware that if nothing is done to save the Salton Sea this region will become uninhabitable. The longer we wait for a solution to save the Salton Sea the more difficult it will be to resolve this pressing issue. My installation “Salton Tide” speaks directly to this harsh ecological reality while serving as a catalyst of discussion, hope and awareness for the future of our region.”

Recent Festival Highlights

METAL GIANTS: Born in Durango Mexico, Ricardo Breceda, has lived in California for the past 25 years. Soon after the release of the movie Jurassic Park III and influenced over his daughter’s enthusiasm for dinosaurs, Ricardo apparently traded a pair of boots for welding equipment and started transforming metal into life-like creations, some as large as his 350 foot long sand serpent. Most of his life-sized works can be viewed at his current studio in Temecula, California and stallions leaping across Highway 79. As far as the exactness in proportions of his creatures, dinosaurs and horses alike, for the most part, they are all are anatomical correct. He has even created a jeep, miner and mule, stagecoach and more. His sculptures are now referred as “sky art” blending in with and enhancing the desert setting.

ANCIENT PEDAL LOOM WEAVING: Antonio Mendoza learned the 2000-year old craft of Zapotec pedal loom weaving under the guidance of his father and grandmother, with his first lessons in the ancient technique at age seven. His spectacular textile designs begin with his creating vibrant dyes from plant, vegetable and other natural materials which he then uses to hand-dye the yarns. Adding to the splendor of Antonio’s creative process is that his beautifully complex designs are born on the pedal loom with the first pieces of yarn he places dictating the direction of his final creation. Each woven work of art can take months to complete. “Color is the mirror of human emotion. My art work reflects the exploration of my native culture as well as my weaving experiences,” says Antonio, whose can be found in galleries and museums, including as a part of a major collection the Los Angeles Natural History Museum.

INK SPOT: The Ink Spot was a new literary corner that featured readings, discussions with authors, and interactive exhibits representing the Inland Empire’s vibrant literary community and hosted by the University of California at Riverside. Meet the creative geniuses who penned some of your favorite books; find out how they came about their stories; the process of book writing and publishing; and take home a signed copy.
