Position Description: Financial Advisor Reports to: Wealth Manager Job Summary The Financial Advisor is a client-facing role with responsibilities that include data gathering and analysis, development of financial planning recommendations, implementation and portfolio management. The Advisor participates in client meetings in an advisory capacity, possesses decision-making authority on client matters, and develops investment and financial planning strategies in the best interest of the client. In addition to being the lead advisor in certain client relationships, the role also supports the Wealth Manager and acts in accordance with established company, compliance and departmental policies, procedures and protocols. Duties and Responsibilities . Provide sound financial advice to clients - Develop and manage client relationships, including ongoing and regular client contact and communications - Develop relationships with outside business partners to strengthen key referral sources . Interview clients and perspective clients to gather all pertinent data needed to develop a comprehensive financial plan . Use financial planning software to support financial advice . Recommend strategies clients can use to achieve their financial goals and objectives, including advice on debt management, cash management, insurance coverage, investments, budgeting, estate plan coordination, and general tax planning . Refer clients to outside experts, including attorneys, accountants, trust officers, and insurance brokers/agent. Review clients financial profile to determine if life changes necessitate new financial strategies . Oversee client investment accounts and recommend changes as necessary to assist the client in achieving their long and short term financial goals . Work with Portfolio Management team to implement, monitor and adjust client account as needed . Maintain electronic files with updated client information, prepare reports, correspondence, and complete special projects as appropriate . Conduct seminars and workshops on financial planning topics . Participate in writing educational or service-related articles for company website . Manage client needs with internal support teams including the Portfolio Management team and the Client Service Associates Page 1 of 2

Qualifications . Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. CFP® preferred; Series 65 required. Prior RIA experience preferred. Illinois Insurance license preferred

Competencies . Demonstrate recent and progressive pattern in planning versus transactional experience; an understanding of fiduciary responsibility; strong leadership skills. Solid presentation and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage time effectively; detail-oriented and a professional demeanor. Demonstrate the ability to relate to and work with clients and prospects of multiple ages and various backgrounds

Traits . Possess self-confidence, entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to personal and professional integrity and a drive to meet and exceed personal and professional goals. Ability to work independently and within a team environment; willing to be mentored. Excellent written and oral communication skills and listening skills

Salary and Benefits. Salary/benefits are competitive based on industry standards
