Flexible beam delivery with
precision, control, and
performance
BeamDirector with shallow
angle processing nozzles
Prima Power Laserdyne’s BeamDirector® sets the
LASERDYNE® 811 apart from other 3D systems in its
class. A precision fourth and fifth axes of beam
motion are provided with the BeamDirector. The
BeamDirector provides additional flexibility to optimize
3D laser processing and provides unparalleled access
to locations on a part. Prima Power Laserdyne is the
only laser processing system capable of processing at
shallow angles up to 10° to the surface along the
entire axis travel.
The BeamDirector fully supports welding, drilling and
cutting. With Prima Power Laserdyne’s full line of
focusing lenses and nozzle assemblies, one can
easily switch between welding, drilling, and cutting.
The BeamDirector is compatible with the wide range
of application nozzles to give your system unmatched
flexibility. With the quick connect gas lines, it is very
easy to change from welding to drilling to cutting
(typically less than 1 minute). This includes nozzles
for parts being processed now and on a variety of
future applications.
The BeamDirector provides two levels of unmatched
active crash protection that protects not only the laser
system but also prevents damage to the workpiece
and enables the BeamDirector to be quickly and easily
reset with minimal manufacturing disruptions.
The BeamDirector is covered by Prima Power
Laserdyne’s unrivaled 2 year unlimited hours
warranty.

Industry 4.0 The LASERDYNE ® 811 supports Industry 4.0 (IIoT) and is ready for the next
generation of manufacturing and factory. Prima Power Laserdyne uses
MTConnect® for streaming of system and process parameters along with key
machine activity to provide real-time information to the facility or operations
management system. SPC Data Acquisition, which stores system and process
parameter data, can be used to provide “proof-of-process” data and record the
machine setting to support quality control requirements of the process.
Precision Laser Processing
with the S94P ControllerThe S94P Controller integrates the laser and motion system into one “system” and provides the
user with unique LASERDYNE® exclusive tools needed to produce the highest quality parts
consistently over the life of the machine. The S94P controller communicates with and commands
the machine, laser, and all components of the system in realtime for unprecedented control of the
process. Software features are standard, including SmartTechniques™. They are provided to
reduce programming time, reduce cycle times, and improve part quality.
Prima Power Laserdyne systems are compatible with a full suite of CW and QCW fiber lasers. The
LASERDYNE® 811 can support custom laser sources if required for the project. With the S94P
Controller and with the proper laser, each laser pulse can be shaped to achieve a unique result for
welding, drilling, and cutting, expanding the possibilities of what can be laser processed.
The LASERDYNE ® 811 has a vertical 22 inch touch screen display which enables multiple
windows to be displayed at once: axis position read-out window, high resolution camera, part
program window, and easy access control buttons.
