Account statements can be either posted to your mailing address or you can request eStatements online via Internet Banking for eligible account types.

Changing your PINEvery Bank of Melbourne Visa Debit Card is issued with a card PIN. If you’d like to change your PIN on your card, just visit a local branch with your card and identification and we’ll help change it on the spot.

Card authorisations – pending payments effect your available account balance.Some merchants – usually car rentals or hotels – will first check if there are sufficient funds in your account to finalise payment.

They send us an authorisation for this amount and on approval, some of your account balance is placed on hold against the final payment amount.

This means the available balance and current balance shown on your account may be different until the transaction is finalised.

Card authorisations may hold funds in the account for up to 7 days. All current card authorisations can be viewed online via Internet Banking if you have registered for Internet Banking.

Account current balance and available balanceThe available balance shows funds that are ready to use straight away. The current balance is the amount that may include card authorisations waiting to be processed or cheques to be cleared.

Lost or Stolen

Contact us immediately if your card is lost or stolen, you think the PIN has been compromised or your card has been used fraudulently.

The card will then be cancelled and a new card number and PIN will be issued. A replacement card fee may apply.

Damaged

For damaged cards, we will issue the same card number and PIN. All replacement cards are mailed to the residential address unless urgent delivery is requested to another location.
