Allegiance knows that Dealers already have existing sources for funding deals.
• If existing sources do not feel comfortable with the collateral, Allegiance will be there to help.
• Dick Roberts has been in the equipment financing business for 34 years and has done business with Continental Mfg. for 14 years.
• Dick knows the ready mix business and knows how to put deals together.
• Dick will be at Con-EX Tuesday and Wednesday and will be happy to talk to any dealer/sales person/credit manager and discuss what credit people for lenders are looking for when it comes to financing ready mix companies.
Allegiance is not regulated like a Bank.
• Loans or Leases – Generally 60 month terms, on new equipment.
• Customer may need to refinance to make room for New Mixers.
• Will finance used mixer trucks up to 4 years old for a maximum term of 36 months.
Process if Dealer chooses Allegiance to finance their customer.
• Get credit application filled out and signed. See attached credit application.
• Fax credit application to Jody Halvorson at 651-294-4560, along with specifications of what the customer is purchasing.
• Dick Roberts will review credit application and call the customer after a Dun and Bradstreet report is obtained.
• Dick Roberts will ask for the required financial information that will be necessary in order to obtain a credit approval.
• After receiving the information, Dick Roberts will quote the customer a loan or lease based on what the customer has asked for. The customer will be quoted terms that fit their credit profile as to an A, B, or C type credit. Appropriate down payments if a loan, or advance payments if a lease will be included in the quote to the customer. The customer may also pledge additional collateral in lieu of a down payment.
• After the credit department processes the information, the dealer will be contacted with the approval or denial.
Process continued…
• After the customer sends Allegiance the financial information required, the credit process can take 1 to 5 days depending upon how complicated the deal is.
• If the customer needs additional support for a credit approval, the dealer may support the customer with recourse. The support of recourse is usually 10%. The dealer offering recourse may also need to be credit approved.
• Allegiance knows that the Dealers may already have other recourse lines available.
• Dick Roberts will work with the customer to try and structure a deal without asking for recourse. Recourse is the last resort.
Additional Information
• The U. S. is the only jurisdiction for equipment financing or leasing.
• Batch plants, and other related equipment like day cab tractors, trailers, wheel loaders etc. can be included in the deal.
• Registration fees, FET, and sales taxes can be included in the price of the equipment. Sales taxes may have to be paid directly to the State by the customer.
• In a recourse situation, the dealer/Navistar would have the right of first refusal to buy the equipment in the event of a default by the customer.
